How to Find Chaos Rifts
Participate in Helltides
The best way to find a Chaos Rift is by participating in Helltide events that spawn throughout Sanctuary. Keep in mind that Chaos Rifts spawn randomly so try to take as much time as you can during Helltide events to improve your chances of spawning Chaos Rifts.
Clear Nightmare Dungeons
Another great way to find Chaos Rifts is by activating Nightmare Sigils and clearing Nightmare Dungeons. Make sure you have a ton of Nightmare Sigils farmed beforehand so you can continuously farm Chaos Rifts with ease.
Chaos Rifts Guide and Mechanics
Open a Chaos Rift
Upon encountering a Chaos Rift, all you have to do is interact with the rift and the event will immediately start. Take note that Chaos Rifts also spawn in different rarities such as Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Mythic with specific rewards for each encounter.
Eliminate All Chaos Monsters
Since Chaos Rifts can spawn randomly during Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons, your only main goal is to fully clear all Chaos monsters that spawn.
Do note that it is possible for a Mythic Chaos Rift to spawn in Torment I or above difficulties that yield even higher rewards.
Seal the Chaos Rift
In order to seal a Chaos Rift, you will first have to defeat all the Chaos monsters it spawns. Doing so will allow you to attack and destroy the rift portal, sealing the Chaos Rift and dropping various rewards such as Chaos Armor, Infernal Warps, and Infernal Compasses.

Each Chaos Rift has a specific reward you can claim after you seal the rift. This allows you to prioritize certain rewards that you can target farm when coming across various Chaos Rifts.
Keep in mind that Chaos Rifts are also capable of providing you with more Gem fragments and additional XP when sealing Chaos Rifts. This can be a good source for leveling and upgrading your Gem slots with higher-tier Gems.
Chaos Armor Uniques
When taking on Helltides, the main loot drops you want to get from Chaos Rifts are the Chaos Armor uniques that you can get from Helltide Chests. Make sure to farm as much Aberrant Cinder as you can find during the event and open all the Mystery chests to fully reap the rewards.
