Guaranteed Drop from Infernal Compass Chaos Rift
Infernal Hordes Compasses and Fleeting Hordes Compasses are a guaranteed drop from the Infernal Compass Chaos Rift. Players will need to successfully close the rift in order to receive the rewards.
Participate in Helltide Events
The second best method to farm the Infernal Compass is by participating in Helltide and opening the Tortured Gifts. Although it is not guaranteed, there is a high chance to get one when opening Tortured Gifts using Aberrant Cinders.
Chance to Drop Nightmare Dungeons
The best way to farm an Infernal Compass is by running and completing Nightmare Dungeons in Torment difficulty. Even though it is not a guaranteed drop, the chances are pretty high, and you can get up to two at the end of the dungeon.

Complete The Tree of Whispers

Opens the Infernal Hordes Portal
Similar to Nightmare Dungeon Sigils, you simply need to use the item to open a portal somewhere on the map. Click on the portal to teleport and start the Infernal Horde.
Only Usable in Torment Difficulty
Infernal Hordes Compasses are can only be used in Torment Difficulty. In pre-torment difficulties, players have access to a similar but limited activity called the Fleeting Hordes.
