Diablo 4 Season 3 - Elemental Cores

Elemental Cores are a new type of currency used to summon Heralds of Malphas inside Arcane Tremors during Diablo 4 (D4) Season 3. Read on to learn how to farm Elemental Cores efficiently and how to use them inside the Arcane Tremors event.

How to Farm Elemental Cores

Farm Elemental Cores from Obelisks

D4 Season 3 - Arcane Tremor Obelisks

The primary method for obtaining Elemental Cores is by interacting with Obelisks found inside Arcane Tremors. On successful activation, these stationary traps are disabled for a short period of time during which they drop Elemental Cores for you to pick up.

Open Construct Beacons and Defeat its Guardians

D4 Season 3 - Construct Beacon

Another method for obtaining Elemental Cores is by opening Construct Beacons and defeating the guardians that spawn to defend it. Similar to Obelisks, Construct Beacons can only be found inside the Arcane Tremors play area.

Son of Malphas Mini Boss Rewards Elemental Cores

D4 Season 3 - Son of Malphas Mini Boss

Finally, while exploring Arcane Tremors (again), you may encounter a rather tanky mini boss called the Son of Malphas. Defeat it to get XP, random loot, and a large amount of Elemental Cores. Like Butcher encounters, dying to this mini boss will despawn it.

How to Use Elemental Cores

Used to Summon Heralds of Malphas at Braziers

D4 Season 3 - Herald of Malphas

Elemental Cores are primarily used to summon Heralds of Malphas inside the Arcane Tremor event play area. To do this, head over to any Brazier inside the Arcane Tremors event and use 3 Elemental Cores and 50 Shattered Stones to summon a Herald of Malphas.

Once summoned, defeat this unique Elite enemy to get a Pearl of Warding reward as well as a random Governing or Tuning Stone that you can use for your Seneschal companion.
