Diablo 4 - How to Get the Butcher

Defeat the Butcher for a Chance to Get the Drop

Diablo 4 - Butcher

The only way to obtain the Butcher's Trophy Cleaver is to defeat the Butcher when it attacks you during one of your dungeon runs. Suit up with your best build, start running dungeons, and the Butcher should come to you.

Once defeated, the Butcher will have a chance to drop either Legendaries, Uniques, or this Mount Trophy. Like many cosmetic drops in the game, the Butcher's Trophy Cleaver is not a guaranteed drop.

Equip the Trophy at the Stable Master

Diablo 4 - Butcher

To display the Butcher's Trophy Cleaver on your mount, simply head over to the Stable Master NPC and navigate to the Trophies Tab. Once there, select the Butcher's Trophy Cleaver from the menu to quickly equip it on your mount.

Unlock Mounts by Completing the Priority Quest - Donan's Favor

If you still do not have access to mounts, you will need to complete the Acts 1-3 of the main story. Upon starting Act 4, you will receive a Priority Quest from Donan where he gifts you a mount that unlocks Diablo 4's mount feature.
