How and Where to Get Nightmare Sigils |
---|
|
The quickest way to get your first Nightmare Sigils is by completing Whispers of the Dead bounties in World Tier 3: Nightmare, as the Grand Caches they provide have a high chance of dropping Sigils.
You can unlock Whispers of the Dead bounties by finishing its respective Priority Quest after completing the campaign, granting you access to the Tree of Whispers.
After obtaining your first few Sigils from the Tree of Whispers, the best way to farm more Nightmare Sigils is through Nightmare Dungeons. Monsters in Nightmare Dungeons have a moderate chance of dropping Sigils of equal or higher tiers, so take down as many as you can while completing Dungeon objectives.
You can also get Sigils of varying tiers by crafting them using Sigil Powder at the Occultist. However, note that the Craft Sigils and Salvage Sigils tabs are locked until you complete your first Tier 3 Nightmare Dungeon and the Sigil Crafting Priority Quest.
Players can refer to the tables below for more information regarding the required Sigil Powder and Gold to craft Nightmare Sigils of various tiers.

You can salvage Nightmare Sigils at the nearest Occultist to get Sigil Powder for crafting other Sigils. However, as previously mentioned, the Salvage Sigils tab is locked until you complete your first Tier 3 Nightmare Dungeon and the Sigil Crafting Priority Quest.
Nightmare Sigils, formerly known as Dungeon Keys, are consumables that, once activated, open and transform their title's corresponding Dungeon into a Nightmare Dungeon. They also limit the number of allowed revives in Nightmare Dungeons and feature positive and negative Affixes, which are various modifiers that affect the Nightmare Dungeons they open.
In addition, Nightmare Sigils come in various Tiers, which indicate the difficulty and level of the monsters of their Nightmare Dungeon. You can determine the level of enemies in a Nightmare Dungeon by adding 53 to a Sacred Sigil's Tier or 54 to an Ancestral Sigil's Tier.
