The Server Slam Weekend is a Diablo 4 server stress test in preparation for the final release in June. During May 12 to 14, all interested players are encouraged to login and play the game to check whether the Diablo 4 servers are ready to handle the increased player capacity on release.
Much like the Early Access and Open Beta versions of the game, any progress made during the Server Slam Weekend will not carry over to the final version of the game. The only progress players will be able to carry over are the rewards you get for participating in the Beta and the Server Slam weekends.
The only thing players will need to have in order to participate in the Server Slam Weekend is a Battle.net Account. You do not need to pre-order a copy of Diablo 4 in order to participate in the final playtest of the game.
Additionally, players on Playstation and Xbox do not need to have an active PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to participate in Diablo 4's Server Slam Weekend.
How to Make a Battle.Net Account
Preloads for the Server Slam version of Diablo 4 will be available as early as May 10 at 12 PM PDT. Check out the date and time for your region in the table below:
Region | Preload Time and Date |
---|---|
US East | 3:00 PM EDT (May 10, 2023) |
US West | 12:00 PM PDT (May 10, 2023) |
Europe | 9:00 PM CEST (May 10, 2023) |
Japan | 4:00 AM JST (May 11, 2023) |
Oceania | 5:00 AM (May 11, 2023) |
A brand new reward can be earned during the Server Slam Weekend in the form of a mount trophy. You will need to defeat Ashava the Pestilent with one level 20 character to earn this mount cosmetic for the final version of Diablo 4.
Reward | How to Get |
---|---|
Initial Casualty (Title) |
Reach Kyovashad with one character. |
Early Voyager (Title) |
Reach Level 20 on one character. |
Beta Wolf Pack (Cosmetic Item) |
Reach Level 20 on one character. |
Early Access and Open Beta rewards make their return for players who were unable to participate during the 2 Beta weekends. Complete the objectives above to earn different cosmetic and title rewards for your account once the full version of the game releases.

・First Ashava Spawn on May 13 at 9 AM PDT. ・Will spawn every 3 hours afterwards. ・Final Ashava Spawn on May 14 at 9 AM PDT. |
Ashava the Pestilent, a World Boss in Diablo 4, will be every player's endgame goal during the Server Slam Weekend. Level up your character to 20 and participate in the 9 Ashava World Boss spawns available during the weekend to earn powerful items for your character.
Additionally, defeating Ashava for the first time during the Server Slam will allow you to earn the Cry of Ashava mount trophy for your account.
How to Beat Ashava the Pestilent
An updated version of Diablo 4 will be available during the Server Slam Weekend. Changes to this version will include everything detailed by the devs in their post-beta learnings blog such as class balanced changes, dungeon updates, and QoL updates for the game UI.
Unlike the level cap of the Early Access and Open Beta weekends, the Server Slam will only allow players to level up to Level 20 (5 levels less than before). This will compound the difficulty for players on Veteran and Hardcore modes as they will have less stats and abilities at their disposal.
Finally, drops rates for Legendary Items have been adjusted. During the Server Slam weekend, they will have a drop frequency similar to the final release version of Diablo 4. This makes tackling Ashava all the more valuable as World Boss kills are one of the only guaranteed ways to get Legendaries.
