This is a guide to the Tears of Blood Paragon Glyph available during the Season 2 Abattoir of Zir event in Diablo 4 (D4). Read on to see a full list of Tears of Blood's effects, Tears of Blood's radius and upgrades per level, and how to get Tears of Blood.

How to Get Tears of Blood

Complete Tier 1 of the Abattoir of Zir

You can obtain the Tears of Blood Unique Glyph by completing the Tier 1 Dungeon of the Abattoir of Zir. The glyph and the Abattoir of Zir event went live on December 5, 2023 with Patch 1.2.3, and will be available until January 23, 2024.

The Tears of Blood will automatically unlock and can be equipped immediately after clearing your first Abattoir of Zir dungeon.

How to Upgrade Tears of Blood

Upgraded via Dungeon Upgrade Totems

The Dungeon Upgrade Totem from the new Uber Dungeon is your primary method to upgrade the Tears of Blood Glyph. Clearing the Abattoir of Zir dungeon requires a fully fleshed out build, as its easiest level is much harder than a tier 100 dungeon.

The XP requirement per level upgrade increases exponentially. Expect that you'll have to run multiple times to get even 1 level worth of XP, unless you're consistently farming high-tier Abattoir of Zir dungeons.

Tears of Blood Exp Threshhold has been Updated

With the recent Hotfix by Blizzard on December 8, the Experience obtained from the Abattoirs of Zir event has been updated! While the experience required by the Glyph has been unchanged, the exp that can be obtained from the endgame dungeon has been adjusted massively to the following values:

Tier Level Exp Reward
1 1000 (Unchanged)
5 1800 → 2800
10 3900→11600
20 11900→65400
25 17800→117100

This will now make it significantly faster to level up the new Tears of Blood Glyphs to its highest levels.

Core Stats refers to any stat, not just the main one for the class. You gain 2% damage bonus for all 4 core stats, Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, and Dexterity.
