Completing Whispers of the Dead rewards you with a cache that has a chance to drop a random Malignant Body Part (Gurgling Head, Trembling Hand, Blackened Femur, and Malignant Heart).
How to Complete the Tree of Whispers
Killing Treasure Goblins, Hellborne, and Blood Maiden has a chance to drop a random Malignant Body Part. You can easily find them in areas with Grim Favor rewards and Helltide Events. This means you can grind for these Elite enemies while completing your Whispers of the Dead quest.
Elites found inside Nightmare Dungeons have a chance to drop Malignant Body Parts. Try to clear the entire dungeon of any events that spawns a lot of Elites to make the most out of your runs.
Malignant Body Parts can be acquired as rewards upon completing Legion and World Bosses. The drop rate for Malignant Body Parts is quite high, but the downside is that the events are time-gated.

You can also receive a variety of boss summoning materials by opening the Cache Rewards from completing the Season Journey. This will give you a ton of materials, so make sure not to skip this, as it can help you obtain the necessary uniques you need to progress your character as you prepare for the endgame.
How to Complete Season Journey and Rewards
If you miss a Malignant Body Part drop, it will automatically be transferred to your stash. Be sure to check the Missed Equipment tab in your stash periodically.
Talk to the Alchemist to transmute these Malignant Body Parts into a Malignant Heart for summoning Varshan.
