How to Get Malignant Body Parts

How to Get Malignant Body Parts

Complete Whispers of the Dead

Completing Whispers of the Dead in World Tier 3 and World Tier 4 rewards you with a cache that contains a guaranteed Malignant Body Part (Gurgling Head, Trembling Hand, Blackened Femur, and Malignant Heart). This is the most efficient way to farm these materials because it's possible to obtain multiple of them from a single cache.

However, it's important to note that you cannot obtain a Malignant Heart if you are only playing on World Tier 3. It will only start dropping once you reach World Tier 4, as it is a requirement for summoning the Echo of Varshan on World Tier 4.

How to Complete the Tree of Whispers

Kill the Grotesque Debtor

Killing a Grotesque Debtor guarantees a Malignant Body Part. You can easily find them in areas with Grim Favor rewards and areas with the Blood Harvest Event. This means you can grind for this Elite enemy while completing your Whispers of the Dead quest.

Transfers to Your Stash

If you miss a Malignant Body Part drop, it will automatically be transferred to your stash. Be sure to check the Missed Equipment tab in your stash periodically.

Transmute Malignant Body Parts

If you have duplicates of a required item, you can transmute them at the Alchemist to receive a cache with a random body part. If you're targeting a specific body part, you can use Malignant Hearts to craft any of the other 3 required materials.

How to Use Malignant Body Parts

Used to Summon Echo of Varshan

Malignant Body Parts are used to summon the Echo of Varshan inside the Malignant Burrow, located in The Writhing Mire beside the Tree of Whispers in the Hawezar region. Do note that the Malignant Heart is only required when summoning the Echo of Varshan in World Tier 4.
