Use the Invoker of Varshan inside the secret room on Malignant Tunnels to fight Echo of Varshan in Diablo 4 (D4). Read on to learn how to use the Invoker of Varshan, where to get it, and what the Foul Invoker of Varshan and Tormented Invoker of Varshan do.
How to Use Invoker of Varshan
Secret Room Inside Malignant Tunnels
You can use the Invoker of Varshan in the secret room behind a wooden Door inside Malignant Tunnels on World Tier 1 or World Tier 2. This will summon the new seasonal boss, Echo of Varshan. Echo of Varshan will drop 1-2 Hearts, including Wrathful Hearts, making it one of the best ways to farm Wrathful Hearts.
Do note that the secret room appears randomly, and it will not always be available in every Malignant Tunnel you enter.
The entrance to the secret room is a wooden door with chains on it, and it appears as a dead end on the map. Keep an eye out for these wooden doors whenever you're exploring Malignant Tunnels.
Complete the Questline to Unlock the Room
If you stumble upon the secret room without completing the Season 1 Questline, a prompt will appear, indicating that you need to progress further on your Seasonal Quests to enter.
Recommended Malignant Tunnels to Fight Echo of Varshan
Below are some Malignant Tunnels with small map layouts so you can quickly get to the secret room and fight Echo of Varshan.
The Boiling Wound
A Malignant Tunnel that can be found in Fractured Peaks. Known for one of the best tunnels to spend Malignant Invokers farm Malignant Outgrowths due to the extremely short layouts it has. Shorter layouts mean that you can finish the tunnel faster and check if the secret room has spawned.
Ravening Pits
The Quest Objective of Ravening Pits is one of the easiest to accomplish which makes this a really good tunnel to cycle through and check if a secret room has spawn. You can choose to ignore the mobs and go straight for the Elites and the Boss to quickly open up the last area of the tunnel.

How to Use the Foul and Tormented Invokers
The Foul Invoker of Varshan can only be used on World Tier 3, while the Tormented Invoker of Varshan can only be used on World Tier 4. Using these Invokers will summon even stronger versions of the Echo of Varshan.

Successfully defeating Echo of Varshan in World Tier 4 can get you equipment with Item Power of 800, regardless of your level. This should give you incentives to fight Echo of Varshan as soon as you can for a sizable boost in power.

How to Get Invoker of Varshan
Season 1 Questline Reward
You can obtain the recipe for the Invoker of Varshan from Cormond after completing the Season 1 Questline for the Season of the Malignant. The recipe is inside the bag reward given after completing the A Merciful Fate quest.
Cormond's workbench which can be found just a few steps west of Kyovashad's Waypoint is where you can craft Malignant items including Invokers of Varshan, Caged Hearts, and reward caches. This is also where you can salvage Malignant Hearts to get the materials for crafting Invokers.
