How to Farm Favor in Season 1

Best Farming Method Explanation
Dungeons
★★★
Dungeons are the most efficient way to farm for Favors as it has a high density of elites lurking within which give higher Favor Rewards compared to normal mobs.
Legion Events
★★★
Legion Events are also a great way to farm for Favors as they spawn multiple groups of enemies with a set of champions and elites.
Helltides
★★★
What makes helltides a good activity to farm Favors is the unique enemies and multiple elites and bosses it spawns in one hour.
Strongholds
★★
Strongholds are a one-time completion activity making them less efficient for farming Favor compared to dungeons, but they spawn multiple enemies and elites as well and unlock new dungeons to farm.
Season Journey
★★
Season Journey Objectives and Chapter completions reward players with huge favors but are an inefficient way of farming them fast if players choose to actively complete them.
Seasonal Questline
Seasonal Questlines are the least efficient way of farming Favors as it has no replayability and the most travel time of all activities, but it still gives a decent amount of Favor.

Dungeons

Efficiency ★★★

You can farm Favor simply by killing monsters in-game. The best way to go around this is to target specific dungeons with a high density of mobs and elites. It is recommended to aim for Sirocco Caverns, Champion's Demise, and Gulhraan Canals as they are one of the best dungeons to farm Favors from killing multiple elites.

Dungeons also offer fast replayability which allows you to spam running dungeons you like best for farming favors.

Best Dungeons to Farm

Legion Events

Efficiency ★★★

Legion Events are a must-do for players as they spawn a high density of mobs and elites which makes them an ideal place to farm Favor and XP. Be sure to be on the lookout when these events show up on your map as they can also be a great place to farm items.

Legion Event Timer and Locations

Helltides

Efficiency ★★★

Helltides are one of the most efficient activities to farm favors as they spawn multiple champions, bosses, and events where enemies and elites just keep spawning. They appear in world tiers three and four, making them more viable for endgame players.

Helltide Timer, Time Schedule and Guide

Strongholds

Efficiency ★★

Strongholds may be a one-time clear but it has a high density of elite mobs, as well as XP gain from completion; what's more is that some Strongholds grant access to Dungeons which expand your Whisper pool from the Tree of Whispers, allowing you to grind more dungeons for Favors.

Strongholds also give the highest value of Renown which allows you to claim Gold, Skill Points, and Paragon Points for your endgame builds. They are ranked lower in efficiency because they can only be completed once, so players will have to travel to another location again to run another stronghold which is less efficient than a simple dungeon reset.

Season Journey

Efficiency ★★

Season Journey objectives are a great way to passively earn huge favors as most events that you can do in Sanctuary are a part of Season Journey Objectives. Players can choose to actively complete these objectives themselves as well to receive the favor rewards from each Objective and Chapter completion.

Although they give huge Favor rewards, actively hunting for objective completion causes players to travel which hurts their efficiency in farming Favors.

How to Complete Season 1 Journey and Rewards

Seasonal Questline

Efficiency

Seasonal questlines also reward players with Favors, however as it is only a one-time reward with no replayability it isn't the most efficient farming method for Favors due to the travel time it requires players to participate in. This does not mean that the Seasonal Questline is not worth playing, as they give you story progression rewards that are helpful to future builds.

Kill Mobs

Killing Mobs is essentially what Diablo is, and anywhere outside of safe zones are mob locations where you can kill to farm Favors.

Best Done in Overworld Events and Dungeons

The best way to earn favors by killing mobs is doing so in Overworld events like Legion Events and Helltide as well as dungeons which spawn a high density of enemies and elites you can kill.

Complete Quests

Completing quests, either side, priority, or seasonal quests rewards players with Favor. Some of these are also tied to Season Journey Objectives which reward players with Favor.

Season Questline Are the Most Rewarding

The most Favor rewards for completing quests are received from the Seasonal Questline which is the story that explains and follows the events of seasonal activities.

Complete Season Journey Objectives

The Season Journey rewards players Favor with each objective and chapter completion. These Favor rewards are the highest so far in the game and can help players complete their Battle Pass fast.

Use Tier Skips

Tier Skips are premium currency you can buy to skip certain Tiers of the Battle Pass. Skipping these tiers will automatically unlock the rewards behind them. Each Tier Skip costs 200 Platinum.
