Prioritize the New Ancestral Whisper Cache

The Season 7 update features Ancestral Whisper Caches which guarantees an Ancestral Item that is already equipped with Tempered Affixes. Getting this type of caches can prove to be a great way to farm Ancestral gear for pushing endgame content.

Note that this cache does not drop any Ancestral Item if you open it while you're below level 60. Since Ancestral items drop at max item level, it's best to save the cache for when you hit level 60.

Greater Collection Rewards

Greater Collection of Tree of Whispers Reward

Greater Collection Grand Caches reward a guaranteed Legendary item when opened. While these Caches might not always appear for the slot you want, the Legendary Aspects inside may just be what you need to complete your build.

Only Pick Normal Caches If There's No Other Choice

We only recommend picking Normal Grand Caches if there's no other choice in your selection of rewards. While they may not provide as many items or have a guaranteed Legendary, regular caches still reward you with a solid amount of gear, Gems, Gold, Upgrade Materials, and even Nightmare Sigils (in World Tier 3).

Turn in 10 Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers

Turn in 10 Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers

To get rewards at the Tree of Whispers, you need to earn 10 Grim Favors from completing Whispers of the Dead bounties around the map. After earning enough Grim Favors, return to the Tree and turn in the the Favors to receive your choice of one of three Grand Caches.

Offer 10 Grim Favors to the Raven of the Tree
The Raven of the Tree allows you to turn in your Grim Favors without having to return to the Tree of Whispers. This enables you to seamlessly grind without the need to portal back to the Tree of Whispers.

As of Season 8, the Raven of the Tree is now available in the following towns:

  • Kyovashad
  • Cerrigar
  • Ked Bardu
  • Gea Kul
  • Kurast Bazaar
  • Tarsarak
