Unable to connect to Battle.net. Please check your network settings. (Code 1016)

Error Code 1016 occurs while the player is waiting in queue to login to the Diablo IV (D4) servers, but an issue with your connection occurs. This error code is tied to your internet connection and happens when you have a faulty or unstable connection.

How to Fix Error Code 1016

Restart and Go through the Queue Again

After encountering Error Code 1016, the game will automatically close. Upon restarting the game, you'll once again have to requeue.

Upon experiencing this error and retrying, we were able to join the game, so there's nothing to do but simply try again until you enter the game successfully.

Check on your Hardware or Network Connections

Ensure that you have a stable connection to the internet if this error persists. It may be an issue with your PC's Wi-Fi Dongle, internet antenna, or even an issue with your service provider.
