Hieratic Seal of the Heavenly Spheres Icon x1 S:P Little Knight Icon x1 - - -

Deck Explanation

This Decks has made waves over in the TCG and OCG due to its interactive playstyle, sometimes being able to conduct Fusion Summons even if its opponent goes first. Their ability to set up the field and hand is nearly second to none in the format, from retrieving cards from GY to Hand using Dracotail Arthalion to setting up Trap Cards like Dracotail Horn and Dracotail Flame that also provide card advantage on top of their interruption effects.

The archetype is also surprisingly flexible with options in the Extra Deck, which includes variant using either the Branded or Shaddoll engines; expect this to be the most played Deck across the board after their debut in the Aerial Superiority Selection Pack!

Odion

Master Duel - Odion

Deck List

Main Deck: 41 Cards
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring Icon x3 The Man with the Mark Icon x3 Anubis the Last Judge Icon x3 Droll & Lock Bird Icon x2 Maxx "C" Icon x2

Super Starslayer TY-PHON - Sky Crisis Icon x1 Silhouhatte Rabbit Icon x1 S:P Little Knight Icon x1 - -

Deck Explanation

Odion has finally made its appearance in Master Duel, completing the support needed for the Apophis Trap Cards that lets them control the field with a powerful grind game. The same Trap Card monsters can also be used to summon the new boss monster Divine Serpent Apophis.

Anubis the Last Judge and The Man with the Mark makes set up quite easy, and are one-card combo starters to get into Temple of the Kings and its newer counterpart Treasures of the Kings. Though not the overall best Trap Deck in the game, expect this archetype to match the pace against some of the better Decks of the format, including Dracotail.

Artmages

Master Duel - Artmage

Deck List

Main Deck: 41 Cards
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring Icon x3 Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion Icon x3 Medius the Pure Icon x3 Artmage Power Patron Icon x2 Droll & Lock Bird Icon x2

Nerva the Power Patron of Creation Icon x1 Despian Proskenion Icon x1 Despian Luluwalilith Icon x1 S:P Little Knight Icon x1 -

Deck Explanation

Artmages are the second Fusion-centric archetype to debut in the Aerial Superiority Selection Pack, and while they may not be as talked about as Dracotail or Odion, Artmages can stand toe-to-toe with the expected frontrunners in this Duelist Cup.

It can make use of the same monsters like Secreteriet Dragon, while making use of other niche Extra Deck monsters like Magnum the Reliever and Magistus Chorozo. However, the true key monsters in Artmage Diactorus and Nerva the Power of Creation are the key, both sharing the effect of changing certain effects into a full nuke on the opponent's field.

Sky Striker Ace - Camellia Icon x1 S:P Little Knight Icon x1 Underworld Goddess of the Closed World Icon x1 - -

Deck Explanation

Labrynth remains the best Trap-based Deck in the current meta, due to their recursion combo that allows them to Set and activate Trap Cards in the same turn. Combined with Lovely Labrynth's effect's to hand rip makes it especially dangerous for Decks like Odion and Dracotail to go up against.

The newest additon, though not part of the Labrynth archetype by name, is Trap Holic, which pops one of your own cards in the Spell/Trap Zone. In turn, it can Set a Trap Card that can be activated on the same turn. Expect this to pop up every now and then as a defensive tool, especially against effects that either target a card or affects the column it is in.

Sky Strikers

Sky Strikers

Deck List

Sky Striker Ace = Zero Icon x3 Combined Maneuver - Engage Zero! Icon x1 Sky Striker Ace - Azalea Icon x1 Sky Striker Ace - Camellia Icon x1 Sky Striker Ace - Zeke Icon x1
Sky Striker Ace - Azalea Temperance Icon x1 - - - -

Deck Explanation

While there is a version of Sky Strikers that make use of the Tenpai Dragons to go blind Second in Duels, we reckon that the pure variant of Sky Strikers is much more dangerous now in the current format. It is all thanks to the new support it got in Sky Striker Special Maneuver - Lemnisgate!; being able to shuffle back cards from the GY and bounce cards on the field for every 3 cards shuffled.

The combos still remain the same as a Toolbox Deck; Hayate pitches Mobilize - Engage! from the Deck to the GY, then you add it back to the hand with Kagari. From there, it is off to the races to conduct Link Summons and activate Spell Cards as responses to the opponent's moves.

Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder Icon x1 Super Starslayer TY-PHON - Sky Crisis Icon x1 Dyna Mondo Icon x1 S:P Little Knight Icon x1 -

Deck Explanation

While Ryzeal got a couple of hits in banlist updates as Ext Ryzeal and Sword Ryzeal are now Limited, it only got stronger now that its paired with one of the best Ritual archetypes ever in Yu-Gi-Oh!'s history: Mitsurugi. There are so many combo starters between them, it is almost impossible to brick unless you end up with an unfortunate series of cards that cannot provide card advantage.

Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi is such a threat by itself that it often gets saved after a couple of combo lines that could protect its effect from hand. Once it gets two Level 4s on the field, the player can pivot at any time into the Ryzeal line, going Duo Drive to search for the Ryzeal Monsters and set up both Ryzeal Detonator and Ryzeal Cross.

Baronne de Fleur Icon x1 Chaos Angel Icon x1 Juraishin, the Cursed Thunder God Icon x1 Snake-Eyes Vengeance Dragon Icon x1 S:P Little Knight Icon x1

Deck Explanation

White Forest Azamina basically went untouched since the time both archetypes made their arrival in Master Duel. It was already incredibly consistent, but the addition of Elzette, Azamina of the White Forest, Diabellstar Vengeance and other support cards for both archetypes in recent releases elevated its playability.

The whole strategy is to summon monsters on the field and leave the opponent inconvenienced with the wide variety of floodgate effects. Silvera, Wolf Tamer of the White Forest forces all monsters the opponent controls flipped face-down, Azamina drains their monsters' ATK to 0 and negates them if their ATK reaches that point, and Snake-Eyes Vengeance Dragon forces a monster to the Spell/Trap Zone and then destroy them in the Battle Phase.

Accesscode Talker Icon x1 Enlilgirsu, the Orcust Mekk-Knight Icon x1 - - -

Deck Explanation

Orcust has reached its peak in the meta with the release of its additional support, its cards leaving the banlist and the addition of more handtraps since the launch of the game. Some Decks like Mitsurugi also make use of it as an engine because of the consistency it provides.

What made this Deck achieve its full power are the additions of Galatea-I and Enlilgirsu, the Orcust Mekk-Knight. They are the cards you want to get to in the combo; if you happen to run a different archetype alongside Orcust, players can use two monsters to Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix, which by itself is full Ocrust combo by going into Knightmare Mermaid, which then goes into Galatea-I.

The Primite Engine are no slouches either, as they also got additonal support. Key additions to take note of include Primite Imperial Dragon, which can act as a Dark Ruler No More on Tribute Summon; and Primite Dragon Nether Berzelius, can negate cards up to the number of Normal Monsters used as Fusion Material for this monster.

Unchained Soul of Rage Icon x1 Unchained Soul Lord of Yama Icon x1 Fiendsmith x1 Accesscode Talker Icon x1 -

Deck Explanation

Yubel got some of its consistency back now that Dark Beckoning Beast and Opening of the Spirit Gates are back to 3 copies in a Deck. Besides that, the Deck remains untouched since Phantom of Yubel went to Semi-Limtied status.

On a regular combo with just the Yubel line, players can end up with a Phantom of Yubel, an Unchained Soul of Rage and a trap card. Apollousa was once on the table, but now it got marked as Forbidden, the other cards get a chance to shine. This includes Fiendsmith's Agnumday which can make Fiendsmith's Desirae all that stronger. With tw Level 6 monsters, there is also access to D/D/D Wave High King Caesar which denies Special Summons up to the number of materials it has attached.

Deck List

Evolzar Laggia Icon x1 Hiita the Fire Charmer, Ablaze Icon x1 S:P Little Knight Icon x1 Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames Icon x1 Salamangreat Raging Phoenix Icon x1
Worldsea Dragon Zealantis Icon x1 - - - -

Deck Explanation

Dinosaur combos are still untouched to this day with Miscellaneousaurus providing a way to make Dinosaur effects uninterruptable. This makes Jurrac one of the easier Decks to set up if they ever go first, and for most of the Decks they would prefer not having to deal with Jurrac's field-wiping effects.

A single Jurrac Astero on the field is enough to provide a way to cheat out Jurrac Meteor on the field, but there are also monsters that like getting destroyed. Salamangreat Raging Phoenix is one of those monsters, reviving itself from the GY and getting an ATK boost based on its conditions.

Maliss〈Q〉Hearts Crypter Icon x1 Maliss〈Q〉White Binder Icon x1 Transcode Talker Icon x1 Accesscode Talker Icon x1 Allied Code Talker @Ignister Icon x1

Deck Explanation

Maliss had been the undisputed best Deck in the game since its debut, and it took multiple hits onto the banlist to finally get it out of its top seat. All of its key cards are now Limited, which includes Dormouse, Maliss in Underground, and Chessy Cat. However, what finally got them out of its God-tier status was the banning of Red Ransom, losing the Deck easy access to Maliss in Underground.

However, the Deck is still fairly strong even now with its consistency hit. It still has access to Allied Code Talker @Ignister, which is one of the best Cyberse monsters in the game with an omni-negate. If the player decides to run a couple of Mathmech cards, they could probably set up a line to Firewall Dragon Darkfluid - Neo Tempest Terahertz on top of the White Binder and Hearts Crypter.
