DPE Scythe Deck Guide: How to Play

Playstyle and Win Condition

This deck circles around a one Card Combo that effectively locks your opponent out from using their Extra Deck.

With 9 Cyberse Monsters in the deck, you'll have roughly 75% chance of pulling a Cyberse Monster on your first hand which automatically opens the doors to this combo which will in turn, Special Summon Artifact Scythe

Artifact Scythe has the effect of when it's Special Summoned onto the field, it locks your opponent from Special Summoning from their Extra Deck that turn.

But, when paired with Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer, you can activate its Effect to Destroy the Artifact Scythe in your Spell/Trap Zone that will trigger its effect to Special Summon itself from the GY onto the Field, locking your opponent out of their Extra Deck.

This leaves you open to Summon your stronger monsters from your Extra Deck, like Accesscode Talker while your opponent is defenseless.

Sample Combo

Required Cards
Dotscaper
Note: You can actually use any Cyberse Monster aside from Dotscaper for this combo.
Step Description
Normal Summon Dotscaper.
Link Summon Link Disciple using Dotscaper placing it in the EMZ → Activate Dotscaper's effect from GY to Special Summon itself onto the Field.
Link Summon Link Devotee using Dotscaper and place it below Link Disciple → Activate Link Disciple's Effect and Tribute Link Devotee and Draw any Card.
Activate Link Devotee's Effect from the GY → Summon 2 Link Tokens onto the Field, setting them to the left and right zones of Link Disciple.
Link Summon Artifact Dagda using Link Disciple and one of the Link Tokens on the Field, and set it in the EMZ.
Link Summon Link Devotee using the remaining Link Token on the Field, placing it in one of the zones Artifact Dagda is pointing to.
Activate Artifact Dagda's Effect and set Artifact Scythe in the Spell/Trap Zone.
Link Summon Predaplant Verte Anaconda using both the Artifact Dagdga and Link Devotee on the field, and set it in the EMZ.
Activate Predaplant Verte Anaconda's Effect, sacrificing 2000LP to Fusion Summon Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer by targeting Fusion Destiny and Tributing Destiny HERO - Celestial & Destiny HERO - Dasher in the Deck.

With both Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer and Artifact Scythe on the field, you can trigger Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer's Effect during your opponent's draw phase and destroy the Artifact Scythe in your Spell/Trap zone -- which will trigger its effect to Special Summon itself onto the field. And with it done during your opponent's Draw Phase, it basically locks them form their Extra Deck till the end of the turn.

And with another copy of Artifact Dagda ready and waiting in your Extra Deck, nothing is stopping you from Link Summoning it again with another Cyberse Monster combo to lock them again their next turn.
