Playstyle and Win Condition

Revolving around an engine that dominated the TCG in the past, the Adventurer engine focuses on resolving the Spell card, Rite of Aramesir.

With 2 copies of Water Enchantress of the Temple and Foolish Burial, we can easily search for Rite of Aramesir from the Deck.

Paired with Wandering Gryphon Rider, a Level 7 monster that can be Special Summoned if you control an Adventurer Token can act as a negate whenever a Card or Effect is activated by shuffling this card back into the Deck. As well as Dracoback, the Rideable Dragon an equipable card that can be used to bounce back one of your opponent's cards per turn.

When paired with the Phantom Knights, the Adventure Engine helps improve consistency and resilience of your board to better fend off your opponent's attacks.

①	Activate Water Enchantress of the Temple's Effect from the Hand → Banish it and search for Rite of Aramesir from the Deck and add it to your Hand.
②	Set & Activate Rite of Aramesir → Special Summon an Adveturer Token and Search for Fateful Adventure in the Deck and set it face-up on your Spell/Trap Zone.
③	Activate Fateful Adventure → Search for Wandering Gryphon Rider from the Deck and add it to your Hand while discarding one card.
④	Activate Wandering Gryphon Rider's Effect from the Hand and Special Summon it onto the Field → Fateful Adventure's Effect triggers → Search for Dracoback, the Rideable Dragon from the Deck and add it to the Hand.
⑤	Set & Activate Emergency Teleport → Search for Psychic Wheeleder from the Deck and Special Summon it onto the Field.
⑥	Normal Summon The Phantom Knights of Stained Greaves.
⑦	Link Summon Cherubini, Ebon Angel of the Burning Abyss using both the Psychic Wheeleder and The Phantom Knights of Stained Greaves on the Field.
⑧	Cherubini, Ebon Angel of the Burning Abyss's Effect triggers → Search for The Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak from the Deck and send it to the GY, which increases the ATK/DEF of Cherubini, Ebon Angel of the Burning Abyss by 800ATK/1000DEF.
⑨	Activate The Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak's GY Effect to Banish itself → Search for The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales from the Deck and add it to your Hand.
⑩	Activate The Phantom Knights of Stained Greaves' GY Effect to Banish itself → Special Summon The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales → The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales' Effect Triggers → Discard Dracoback, the Rideable Dragon from your Hand and search for The Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves from the Deck to the GY.
⑪	Activate Dracoback, the Rideable Dragon's GY Effect → Target the Adventurer Token on the Field and Equip Dracoback, the Rideable Dragon from the GY to that card.
⑫	Link Summon The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche using both the Cherubini, Ebon Angel of the Burning Abyss and The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales on the Field, setting it in your EMZ. → The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche's Effect Triggers → Search for The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots from the Deck and send it to the GY. → And search for Phantom Knights' Fog Blade from the Deck and set it in your Spell/Trap Zone.
⑬	Activate The Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves' GY Effect to Banish itself and search for Phantom Knights' Wing from the Deck and send it to the GY. → The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales' GY Effect Triggers and Special Summon it onto the Field.
⑭	Activate Phantom Knights' Wing's GY Effect to Banish itself → Target the Phantom Knights of Silent Boots in your GY to Special Summon it onto the Field.
⑮	Xyz Summon The Phantom Knights of Break Sword using both The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales and The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots on the Field as material and set it in one of the zones your The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche is pointing at. → This triggers The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche's Effect → Target your The Phantom Knights of Break Sword to destroy it.
⑯	Destroying The Phantom Knights of Break Sword triggers its GY Effect → Target the The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales and The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots and Special Summon them onto the Field which also increases both their Levels by 1.
⑰	Link Summon Predaplant Verte Anaconda using both the The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales and The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots, which are now Level 4. → Activate Predaplant Verte Anaconda's Effect → Pay 2000LP and search for Fusion Destiny from the Deck and send it to the GY → Send both Destiny HERO - Celestial and Destiny HERO - Dasher to the GY and Special Summon Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer to the Field.
⑱	Activate The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots' GY Effect to Banish itself → Search for Phantom Knights' Fog Blade from the Deck and send it to the Hand
⑲	Set the Phantom Knights' Fog Blade in your Spell/Trap Zone.

This rather long combo leaves you with a fairly strong board.

All-in-all, you have enough ATK to OTK your opponent, given your The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche's 2100ATK, Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer's 2500ATK, Wandering Gryphon Rider's 2000ATK, Adventurer Token's 2000ATK, and your Predaplant Verte Anaconda's 500ATK as icing on the cake.

But aside from that, you're given three of negates available for use, with two Phantom Knights' Fog Blade, and your Wandering Gryphon Rider on the Field.

Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer will give you the ability to destroy one of your opponent's cards, and have the ability to bounce back one of your opponent's cards to the hand with your Dracoback, the Rideable Dragon.

Deck Counters

Numeron Decks

Numeron is an OTK deck that outright counters Phantom Knights. This deck aims to bring out four Numeron Xyz monsters on the field to try and finish during the same turn it starts setting up. Since Phantom Knights mostly have one to two Monsters on the field, we lack blockers or ways to prevent open attacks.

As the Phantom Knights player, you can combat this deck by removing Numeron Network as Numerons have a hard time getting the OTK without their Field Spell in play.

Best Cards to Tech Against Adventurer Phantom Knights

	Skill Drain is a great Floodgate to combat Phantom Knight decks. This card negates the effects of all face-up monsters on the field, which in turn negates your ability to control the board using Rusty.
	Dimensional Fissure shackles most of our plays as this card banishes monsters sent to the Graveyard.
	Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring stops most of our turn one plays as it negates cards sent to the Graveyard. Try and bait this card out first by playing filler cards before attempting your turn one combo.
	Graveyard-reliant decks such as Phantom Knights are vulnerable to Called by the Grave. This card can negate and banish monsters in the opponent's graveyard, preventing Invoked Shaddoll from getting the maximum value off its Shaddoll monsters.

This Adventurer Phantom Knights Deck relies on maximizing the use of the GY to recycle monsters to use for summoning powerful Extra Deck monsters.

Using a combination of spells and traps to interrupt your opponent will quickly put the duel in your favor.
