Crafting Cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel requires players to spend Crafting Points to make new and powerful cards. Read on to learn more about crafting, how to get Crafting Points, and some general tips when first crafting cards.
List of Contents
Before crafting cards, players will first need Craft Points or CP. They can be acquired by completing Missions, leveling up the Duel Pass, or by Dismantling Cards.
Each CP type corresponds to the rarity of card that it can craft, meaning each type of CP can only craft cards within that rarity. For example Normal (N) CP can only be used to craft Normal rarity cards.
From the main menu, navigate to the Deck option. Select an existing deck or create one of your own, and then select either Edit Deck or Create New respectively.
This should take you to the Deck Building screen and, from here, you can start crafting new and useful cards using your CP.
The top left corner of your Deck Building screen displays the different amounts of CP in your possession. To begin, select a card from your Deck (middle section) or from the Card List (rightmost section).
The selected card will pop up on the leftmost side of the screen. At the very bottom, after the card description, is the option to Generate a Card using CP. Spend CP here to craft cards that you want for your deck.
Card Rarity | Crafting Point (CP) Cost |
---|---|
Ultra Rare (UR) | 30 CP |
Super Rare (SR) | 30 CP |
Rare (R) | 30 CP |
Normal (N) | 30 CP |
When crafting, keep in mind that only a certain number of cards can be used in a deck at any given time. Therefore, crafting an excess will only waste your CP. Craft only as much as can be used in a deck to avoid precious waste.
Note: Cards in the Card List that have a yellow number on their top left corner (encircled in red) are either Limited or Semi-Limited cards. This means that you should only craft 1 or 2 of these, respectively.
Normally, crafting generates one non-foil version of a card, however there is a set chance that your card will upgrade into a Glossy Finish or Royal Finish foil. Other than lucking out during your card crafting there is no way to directly craft foils with CP currently.
Right beside the Generate Card option in the Deck Building screen is the option to Dismantle cards. Use this if you have an excess amount of certain cards or if you need certain types of CP from cards you do not use.
Dismantling cards rewards you with different amounts of CP depending on the Finish of your card. Better Finishes (Glossy Finish or Royal Finish) will give more CP after being dismantled.
For competitive free-to-play duelers who are only looking to build the best deck possible, dismantling the cosmetic-only Foil Cards will be a viable option for getting more CP off the bat.
Finish Type | Amount of CP Earned for Dismantling |
---|---|
Royal Finish | +30 CP |
Glossy Finish | +15 CP |
Basic Finish (non-foil) | +10 CP |
On the top right of the Deck Building screen, right beside the Save Button, is the Submenu. Navigate to it and select Dismantle All Extra Cards. This option will automatically find extra cards you own and dismantle them for CP.
Note: This option will not dismantle your cards immediately. Instead, when selected, this feature will first show you a summary of extra cards you have and how much CP you will earn after dismantling.
On the top right of the Deck Building screen, right beside the Save Button, is the Submenu. Navigate to it and select Dismantle All Selected Cards. This option allows you to select certain cards from your card list and queue them up to be dismantled.
Not all cards can be dismantled in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. The following types of cards cannot be dismantled:
・Cards obtained from Structure Decks.
・Distributed Cards.
・Cards that are not owned.
