How to Access Proficiency Test

Players can check their Proficiency in their profile in the Main Menu. A new badge now sits beside players' current rank.

Once in the Profile Menu, the MD Proficiency Test button can be found besides the Data button. Look for the blue badge that looks similar to that in the profile.

Players can also access this immediately in the Duel Menu to check the current progress; look for the blue badge at the top right corner of the menu.

How to Increase Proficiency

There are two requirements in order for Duelists to increase their Proficiency Level: Academic Exams, and Practical Exams.

Only by passing both exams can players move on to the next stage.

Academic Exam

The Academic Exam tests the players' knowledge about everything in Master Duel, from the names of the cards, to certain trivia about the Solo Mode Gates, to even details about the card art of certain cards!

To pass for the next level, players must answer a certain number of questions correctly. Each question also has a timer, so players have to think fast and rely on their own knowledge to answer correctly.

Level 8	Answer 5 out of 8 questions correctly
Level 9	Answer 8 out of 10 questions correctly
Level 10	Answer 5 out of 5 questions correctly
Level 11	Answer 5 out of 8 questions correctly
Level 12	Answer 5 out of 8 questions correctly
Level 13	Answer 5 out of 8 questions correctly
Level 14	Answer 5 out of 8 questions correctly

Practical Exam

The Practical Exam focuses more on the players' actual ability in a Duel--thus, players will have to participate in Duels in order to properly progress to the next level. Surrenders do not add to the current total of the requirements.

Upon completion of the requirement, the game will notify you immediately after the Duel--regardless of Duel result (unless specified).

Proficiency Test Rewards

Each time players manage to increase their Proficiency Level, they will receive rewards. Try to climb all the way to Level 10--currently the highest level of proficiency!

What is Proficiency Test?

The Profiency Test is a new featured added to Master Duel in the Version 1.7.1 Update.

This allows the players to show off their overall knowledge and mastery of both Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Master Duel's different game modes in general.
