Pendulum Summon involves using the pendulum level of 2 monsters and summoning monsters in between the range of the two said cards. Read on to learn more on how to use Pendulum Summons in Yu-GI-Oh! Master Duel.
List of Contents
In order to use Pendulum Summons, players will need Pendulum Monsters. These are special type of monsters that have Pendulum Scales listed alongside their card descriptions.
To determine if a monster is a Pendulum Monster, their type should include [Pendulum] and they should have Pendulum Scales as seen above.
In order to perform a Pendulum Summon, activate any 2 Pendulum Monsters from your hand during your Main Phase as Spell Cards. They should not have the same Pendulum Scales for this to work.
Activate 1 Pendulum Monster on the leftmost Spell/Trap Zone by selecting the P Scale button. Then, do the same for your second Pendulum Monster but this time in the rightmost Spell/Trap Zone. They will remain in these positions unless destroyed or removed from the field.
With your two Pendulum Monsters activated on opposite ends of the Spell/Trap Zone, it's time to start Pendulum Summoning. Click any of the two Pendulum Monsters and select the yellow button saying Pendulum Summon.
Then, from your hand, summon all the monsters whose levels fall between the Pendulum Scales of your Pendulum Monsters. For example, if your activated Pendulum Monsters have a Pendulum Scale of 1 and 8 respectively, then that means that you can Pendulum Summon all monsters from your hand that are levels 2 to 7.
Unlike other types of Special Summoning like Synchro Summons or XYZ Summons, Pendulum Summons can only be performed once per turn.
Additionally, if any of your Pendulum Monsters (the ones activated in your Spell/Trap Zones) are destroyed, they will be sent back to the top of your Extra Deck.
