Cubic is an archetype of monsters composed of different attributes: primarily DARK and LIGHT. It specializes in overwhelming your opponent with a high attack monster that has immunity to monster effects, and with burn damage if beating them down is not enough.
Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord is your main win condition of the deck. It can only summon itself from the hand by revealing 3 Cubic cards with different names. Its summoning condition is quite easy to execute with the help of other Cubic cards, so your goal is to collect as many Cubic cards as possible to summon and attack with this card.
Duza the Meteor Cubic Vessel can be used as your combo starter as it sends any Cubic card from the deck to the Graveyard; setting up your Graveyard plays from that point.
Vijam the Cubic Seed's battle destruction immunity puts a small layer of protection to you if you can't close the game quick enough. Vijam also places Cubic Counters to any monster that it battled, negating them. Vijam is also a target for Cubic Karma.
The remaining main deck Cubic monsters: Indiora Doom Volt the Cubic Emperor, Geira Guile the Cubic King, and Vulcan Dragni the Cubic King, mostly serve as fodders for Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord's summon as they are somewhat hard or require too much to summon.
With Crimson Nova needing differently named Cubic cards, it is essential to play multiple different Cubic monsters in the Main Deck.
Cubic Karma, Cubic Dharma, and Cubic Wave are your primary targets to send to the Graveyard with Duza's effect. Use these cards' Graveyard effects to search for any missing Cubic cards that you need for Crimson Nova's summon or infest your opponent's field with Cubic Counters.
Use Cubic Karma's first effect when you aim to go for the killing blow as it gives your Cubic Monster a significant power boost for every Vijam you sent to the Graveyard by this effect.
Cubic Wave is also another card that lets you boost your monster's attack while also diminishing the attack of your opponent.
Unification of the Cubic Lords is your only way to summon Crimson Nova Trinity the Dark Cubic Lord, but you mainly use this card's second effect: if a Cubic monster you control is destroyed or leaves the field, you can banish this card from the Graveyard to summon any level 4 or lower Cubic monster from your hand or deck ignoring the summoning condition. You can send this card with Duza's effect if your opponent responded with a destruction effect.
Cubic Ascension and Cubic Causality provide a defensive layer to the deck while also having strong Graveyard effects that let you reverse the flow of the game.
Reasoning and Foolish Burial Goods easily sets up your Graveyard by sending cards from Deck to the Graveyard. Thus, achieving the first goal of the deck: putting necessary cards in the Graveyard.
Pot of Extravagance, on the other hand, lets you draw more cards, making it easier for Crimson Nova to get differently named Cubic Cards in hand.
This standard Crimson Nova setup needs a few specific pieces to work. Always start your combo with backrow removal spells like Lightning Storm or Harpie's Feather Duster if you have anything in hand to clear any possible threats on the field.
This simple combo lets you attack twice with Crimson Nova (assuming the opponent has at least 1 monster on the field), and 1 attack from Duza for a total of 7600 points of damage. This is on top of the 3000 effect damage by Crimson Nova during the End Phase.
| Card(s) Needed on Hand | |
|---|---|
| Step | Description |
| 1 | After clearing the field with Backrow removals, Normal Summon Duza the Meteor Cubic Vessel and use its effect to send Cubic Karma to the Graveyard. |
| 2 | Activate Cubic Karma in the Graveyard; banish itself to add any Cubic Monster from deck to hand. Prioritize getting cards that are missing from your hand. If you already have Crimson Nova, search for any missing cards instead. |
| 3 | Once you collected 3 differnt Cubic monsters, Special Summon Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord in Attack Position. |

Just like the first simple combo, Reasoning and Foolish Burial Goods just adds another line of play to the deck.
| Card(s) Needed on Hand | |
|---|---|
| Step | Description |
| 1 | Activate Reasoning. The level called by your opponent will not matter that much as the goal here is to send as many Cubic Spells as possible. On the other hand, if you use Foolish Burial Goods, send Cubic Karma. |
| 2 | If Cubic Karma is already in the Graveyard, activate its effect to add Duza the Meteor Cubic Vessel to your hand or any missing Cubic cards. |
| 3 | Normal Summon Duza from hand then use its effect to send Cubic Dharma to the Graveyard. |
| 4 | Activate Cubic Dharma's effect to add a Cubic Monster from Graveyard to Hand. Specifically, add a Cubic Monster that has a different name from any Cubic in your hand. |
| 5 | After collecting 3 differently named Cubic, Special Summon Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic lord in Attack Position. |
This is a small trick to dodge Infinite Impermanence, Effect Veiler or any similar cards that is targetting your Duza the Meteor Cubic Vessel.
| Card(s) Needed on Hand | |
|---|---|
| Step | Description |
| 1 | Normal Summon Duza the Meteor Cubic Vessel then activate its effect. |
| 2 | If your opponent controls at least 1 monster and responded with any cards that will negate or disrupt Duza, chain Forbidden Droplet and send Duza as cost. |
| 3 | After Forbidden Droplet resolves, with Duza already missing on the field, the opponent's disruption will fail to negate. Thus, Duza's skill will still resolve. |

Eldlich decks are known for their strong control capabilities. With the pseudo-immortal boss monster, Eldlich the Golden Lord's effect, it can easily bypass Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord's high attack. Backed up with tons of disrupting trap cards, this is a menace for combo decks like Cubic.
Remember to use backrow removal spells before doing your combo when facing Eldlich!

Gravekeeper's is another control deck. Once Gravekeeper's succesfuly set up their board and activate Necrovalley, it wil be a hard time for Cubic to swing back as it shut downs Graveyard effects.

Dragon Link is a deck that specializes in creating a strong board on the first turn that consists of multiple negates.
It can easily outpace Cubic with its strong and fast tempo. Once it succesfully established its board, it will be hard for Cubic to breakthrough.
