The Clear World Deck revolves around the titular Field Spell, which its entire strategy falls on. They punish the players having monsters on the field based on their Attribute, with different effects happening based on specific Attributes present on their field..
To bypass this, the Clear World monsters nullify this penalty to its owner. Take this to your advantage and punish the opponent for having specific monster Attributes on their side of the field!
The most crucial card here is Clear World. During the End Phase, you have to pay a maintenance cost of 500 LP, or this card gets destroyed. Then, effects will take place depending on the monsters during the turn's player.
| Attribute | Effect Triggered |
|---|---|
| FIRE | Take 1000 LP damage |
| EARTH | Must destroy 1 monster in Defense Position control during the Standby Phase |
| WATER | Discard 1 card |
| WIND | Pay 500 LP each time a Spell Card is acrtivated |
| DARK | Cannot attack if you control 2 or more monsters |
| LIGHT | Hand is revealed all the time |
The Clear monsters all share a single effect: You, the Clear World player, are unaffected by the effects of Clear World. This means no LP cost needed to pay, and you will not get the bad side effects of the Field Spell.
Try to have at least one single Clear monster on the field. Protect them if needed.

The lower-leveld Clear monsters are meant to support the Deck by getting advantages. For example, Clear Phantom can discard this card to add Clear Spells/Traps from the Deck, which would always be Clear World and the newer Continuous Spell, Clear Wall.
Clear Cube provides an additional Normal Summon for a fellow Clear monster. If it leaves the opponent's field, it can Special Summon a monster that mentions Clear World from the Deck. Meanwhile, Clear Rage Golem provides a way to do Direct Attacks when it is summoned, and it deals additional burn damage based on the number cards the opponent has on hand.

The two strongest Clear monsters are a must have on the field. Clear Vice Dragon will always have double the ATK of the monster it battles. It can also save itself from battle destruction by discarding a card.
The newer of the two, Clear Vicious Knight, can summon itself more easily by using 1 monster that mentions Clear World. It gains ATK based on the opponent's strongest monster, and while in the Monster Zone the opponent cannot activate the effects of Special Summoned monsters that are weaker than this card.
The newer support which can also be searched thanks to Clear Phantom is Clear Wall. It is a free searcher so long as you have Clear World active, and monsters mentioning Clear World cannot be destroyed by battle while this Continuous Spell is on the field.
If you happen to control a Level 7 or higher monster that mentions Clear World (Vice Dragon or Vicious Knight), the opponent will receive all six effects at once, regardless of the Attributes of the monsters they presently control.
| Cards Needed on Hand | |
|---|---|
| Step | Description |
| 1 | Activate Clear Phantom from the hand; discard itself and another card you have, then add Clear World and Clear Wall from the Deck to hand. |
| 2 | Activate Clear World. Then, activate Clear Wall right after. |
| 3 | Use the effect of Clear Wall; search out Clear Rage Golem or Clear Cube, depending of you have an additional "Clear" monster in your hand. |
| 4 | Normal Summon Clear Rage Golem, or Clear Cube. |
| 5 | Only if you Normal Summoned Clear Cube, and have another "Clear" monster on hand. Use the effect of Clear Cube; you can Normal Summon or Tribute Summon 1 more monster that mentions Clear World. |

The thing that makes Clear World a powerful floodgate is the detrimental effects based on the Attributes of the monsters on the field during the End Phase. If there are no monsters by then, the effects will not trigger.
Yosenju could be a cheeky counter against Clear World as after chaining Normal Summons one after another, the summoned monsters are bounced back to the hand during the End Phase.

Argostars are a pecular counter against Clear World, since most of their monsters do not stick around for long. For one, said key monsters are Trap Monsters, which can return to the Spell/Trap Zone before the turn ends. This should let them escape Clear World's cost to the current player.
Argostar - Glorious Adra can banish itself from the field in order to place two Continuous Trap Cards to the field, face-up. These cards can activate themselves to gain advantage and Summon themselves as Trap Monsters.

As of writing, Maliss is the best Deck to play in the current format, even while its tier rival Ryzeal has also made its arrival to Master Duel.
They can banish themselves in order to continuously gain advantage like draws and searches. Then, key cards like Hearts Crypter and White Binder will banish cards either from the field or GY to deny resource pools.

If Atlantean Mermail manages to go first, it can easily end the gameplay strategy for Clear World before they can even get started. Their Special Summons come one after another, but what is more dangerous about their monsters is their ability to rip cards off the hand.
Monsters like Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier Protector, Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord, and PSY-Framelord Omega, the opponent can end up starting their turn with a much smaller hand than anticipated.

| Cosmic Cyclone | |
|---|---|
|
|
The key card in the entire Deck is the Field Spell itself, Clear World. This means any backrow removal becomes a danger to the entire Deck. Cards like Harpie's Feather Duster and Heavy Storm will help out immensely, but a particular card to stand out is Cosmic Cyclone. It does not target, but it banishes the cards as a Quick Effect. When timed right, an effect activation can be stopped by using thus Quick-Play Spell as part of a Chain. |
| Skill Drain | |
|
|
Most of the "Clear" monsters have a lingering effect where its monsters will make its owner unaffected by the detirmental cost of Clear World, on top of their own respective effects. Skill Drain denies both, making most of the monsters vulnerable from everything, especially in battle given their lower stats. |
| Anti-Spell Fragrance | |
|
|
While Anti-Spell Fragrance is face-up and active on the field, this forces both players to Set any of their Spell Cards before they can be activated. This also means an attempt to activate Clear World will have to be delayed for a year, giving the user of this Continuous Trap Card an Extra Turn to end the game before they can make use of the titular Field Spell. |
| Super Polymerization | |
|
|
Most of the Clear monsters on the field happen to be DARK Attribute, which is the most represented monster Attribute in Yu-Gi-Oh! For Fusion-centric Decks, this makes them quite susceptible to Super Polymerization, turning the Clear monsters into materials for generic monsters like Mudragon of the Swamp and Garura, Wings of Resonant Life. |
