Boss Monsters

Armed Dragon Thunder LV10
Armed Dragon Thunder LV10 Armed Dragon Thunder LV10 is the Main Deck's strongest monster. On summon, it gets more effects, and based on its ATK on summon, it only increases in potency and in power. 3000 ATK is quite plenty for a powerful boss monster as well, and its battle immunity effect makes this a prime beatstick
Borreload Savage Dragon
Borreload Savage Dragon With the Auroradon strategy available in this Deck Recipe, Borreload Savage Dragon makes sense in context. It can make use of the LINK-3 monster as the equipped card, earning itself three chances to negate effects while enjoying a substantial ATK boost.
Baronne de Fleur
Baronne de Fleur Also part of the Auroradon package in the Deck Recipe, Baronne de Fleur makes sense with the existence of Cupid Pitch, and in desperate times, Ash Blossom as Tuners for Level 7 monsters. Its omni-negate effect, card destruction, and pseudo-floating effect remains ever so vaulable in any Extra Deck, and the Armed Dragons are no exception.
Kashtira Arise-Heart
Kashtira Arise-Heart With lots of Level 7 monsters and even the Kashtira engine available in this Deck, Kashtira Arise-Heart is a great tech in the Deck. It punishes GY-centric strategies, and can keep absorbing banished cards each time it happens.

Armed Dragon Counters: How to Beat

Best Decks to Use Against Armed Dragon

Ice Barrier

Master Duel - Ice Barrier

The Ice Barriers prefer to go first, as their strategy relies on getting Lancea, Ancestral Dragon of the Ice Mountain. Once this monster is on the field, it will be hard for Armed Dragons to deal with this archetype's selection of bottlenecking effects tied to their own Main Deck Monsters.

Labrynth

Master Duel - Labrynth

Going second means opening yourself up to the backrow, especialy Trap Cards. As of writing, there is no better Trap-based Deck than Labrynth, and which each new Normal Trap Card becomes meda-defining, this Deck gets even stronger. Worse, you also have to consider Lovely Labrynth's hand-ripping effect, guaranteeing you at a disadvantage before you can even begin your turn.

Traptrix

Master Duel - Traptrix

Another Trap-centric Deck that likes to go first, Traptrix's specialy are "Hole" Trap Cards, which are often activate in response to the opponent's actions. Their effects can range from card destruction, to banishment, to effect negation. Especially crucial is the Deck's capacity to recycle said Trap Cards, or even have the monsters use them as their own effects.

Best Cards to Tech Against Armed Dragon

Super Polymerization
Super Polymerization With quite a lot of Dragon-type monsters in this Deck, Super Polymeriation becomes a powerful tool agains the Deck. This is especially powerful from Fusion-based Decks, whose boss monsters might potentially have very flexible material requirements.
Forbidden Droplet
Forbidden Droplet Forbidden Droplet can be used offensively and defensively against the Armed Dragons. Not only does it negate as many monsters the opponent controls, depending on how many cards they send to the GY, the affected monsters will also have their ATKs halved for the rest of the turn.
Maxx "C"
Maxx "C" If the Armed Dragon player cannot respond to the activation of Maxx "C", it will prove to be a great advantage to the opponent. More Special Summons means more draws, and that equates to an even greater card advantage.
Summon Limit
Summon Limit For this Deck to have a lot of presence on the field, it needs to go for as much of the available combo as possible. Summon Limit bottlenecking both players into only two Sumons overall in a turn will restrict the Deck's access to firepower as much as possible.
