Pure D/D/D Deck Guide: How to Play

Playstyle and Win Condition

This Pure D/D/D Deck is a combo heavy deck that aims to set up multiple negates.

It can put out powerful boards, and leaves a lot of room to experiment and have fun with.

It tests the player over their master of the different Extra Deck Special Summon methods. The more you can summon, the longer you can chain the combo. The end result of a good opening hand is a very powerful board that players could have difficulty dealing with without the proper counters, like negating Effects and having at least two monsters with high ATK.

Sample Turn 1 Combo

D/D Gryphon's Effect Triggers, and activate D/D Orthros's Effect as Chain Link 1 & 2 respectively -> Chain Link 2: Special Summon D/D Orthros onto the Field after taking the 1000 Damage. -> Chain Link 1: D/D Grphon's Effect activates -> Search for D/D/D Headhunt from the Deck and send it to the Hand.
Synchro Summon D/D/D Cursed King Siegfried using both the D/D Gryphon and the D/D Orthros on the Field.
Set your D/D/D Headhunt onto your Spell Trap Zone, and end your turn.

As seen above, with a 2 card combo, plus a spare D/D Card, one can easily bring out some of the archetype's harder hitters -- D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex, D/D/D Wave High King Caesar, and D/D/D Cursed King Siegfried.

With a total of 8600ATK, you have more than enough fire power to end your opponent right then and there.

But, aside from hitting hard, your three main cards have a lieu of fun effects to play around with.

D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex has the fun effect of letting you negate the activation of an opponent's Monster Card Effect at the cost of either 2 materials, or one of your Dark Contract Cards on the Field. Which in turn, attaches said opponent's monster card to itself as material.

D/D/D Wave High King Caesar on the other hand can negate card effects at the cost of detatching a material from itself. which results in you destroying said card. When you activate this effect, you can also select one D/D Monster you control and give it an additional 1800ATK at the end of the same turn.

D/D/D Cursed King Siegfried on the other hand, can target one Spell or Trap Card on the Field, and negate its effects until the next Standby Phase.

And, let's not forget the D/D/D Headhunt laying in wait, where you can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls, giving you the chance to take control of it until the end phase of the next turn.

Having these three cards will ultimately tie your opponent's hands leaving you with enough room to do a follow-up OTK the next turn.
