Memento Breakdown

Effect Veiler
Effect Veiler The Deck does not have that many means of negating effects. If players do not mind going over the minimum of 40 cards, Effect Veiler is great to have whne going second, or when dealing with any plays they will attempt after you had the first turn.
Super Polymerization
Super Polymerization If there are some slots in the Extra Deck slotted for more generic Fusion monsters like Mudragon of the Swamp and Garura, Wings of Resonant Life, Super Polymerization is always a great option to use to whisk away the opponent's monsters as Fusion Material.
Goblin Biker Grand Breakout
Goblin Biker Grand Breakout It's surprising to see a "Goblin Biker" Spell Card as a suggested one to add to the Deck, but surprisingly enough, the effect works to search out Mementotlan Goblin--after all, the text says to Special Summon 1 "Goblin" monster from the Deck, and this actually qualifies for Mementotlan Goblin.
Illusion Chimera monsters
Berfomet the Mythical King of Phantom Beasts Chimera the King of Phantom Beasts Illusion Chimera cards actually work due to their playstyle meshing, with both archetypes wanting to conduct Fusion Summons. It also quite works with the connection of Guardian Chimera, minus the use of Polymerization to do a Fusion Summon.
Fiendsmith Engine & Aerial Eater
Fiendsmith Fiendsmith Engraver Aerial Eater There is a case to be made that the Fiendsmith Engine would also make the Memento Deck much stronger; just make sure to make space for the necessary Extra Deck Monsters. To further influence the connection, players must also run Aerial Eater, which also acts as a Foolish Burial to send a Fiend-type mosnter from the Deck to the GY--that being Mementotlan Ghoul.

Afterwards, activate Twin Dragon's effect on Summon; destroy itself to add Mementotlan-Horned Dragon and Mementotlan Shleepy from the Deck to the hand.
4 Actiovate Mementotlan Twin Dragon's effect in the GY; Special Summon Mementotlan Ghattic back onto the field.
5 Activate Mementotlan Shleepy from the hand; Speecial Summon itself. Then on summon, activate its second effect; using itself, Mementotlan Ghattic and Mementotlan-Horned Dragon as materials, Fusion Summon Mementomictlan Tecuhtlica - Creation King.
6 On Fusion Summon, activate the effect of Mementomictlan Tecuhtlica - Creation King; send a copy of itself, Mementotlan Akihiron and Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation.

Chain Link 1: Trigger Angwitch's effect on Summon; add Mementotlan Mace to the hand.

Boss Monsters

Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation
Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation needs 5 "Memento" monsters with different names in the GY to shuffle back to the Deck. If it's the only monster you control, it can attack all other monsters on the field once each. It can also punish the opponent from activating card effects by Special Summoning a "Memento" monster from the GY.
Mementomictlan Tecuhtlica - Creation King
Mementomictlan Tecuhtlica - Creation King Mementomictlan Tecuhtlica - Creation King is the newest boss mosnter of the archetype, and acts as a triple Foolish Burial for "Mementomictlan" cards from the Deck. As a quick effect, this can destroy cards equal to the number of "Memento" monsters you control, and this card can banish itself from the GY to grab "Mementomictlan" from the Deck.
Mementotlan Twin Dragon
Mementotlan Twin Dragon Mementotlan Twin Dragon banishes any monster destroyed by battle from a "Memento" monster. On Fusion Summon, it can help refresh the hand by adding two "Memento" monsters, and when destroyed it can use its floating effect to Special Summon a "Memento" monster from the GY.
Guardian Chimera
Guardian Chimera If the Deck can conduct Fusion Summons using materials from the hand and field, Guardian Chimera is extremely crucial. Though Polymerization is not in the Deck recipe, it is more used for its ability to draw and destroy cards simultaneously.
Accesscode Talker
Accesscode Talker Accesscode Talker is a staple for Decks that can run LINK-4 monsters, and with the help of Selene this is pretty easy to get to. It can boost its own ATK depending on the Link Rating of a Link Monster used as material to bring this out, and can destroy cards via effect that cannot be responded with.

Memento Counters: How to Beat

Best Decks to Use Against Memento

Horus Control

Master Duel - Horus Control

Most of the monsters from the Horus archetype have stronger base stats compared to most of the monsters in a "Memento" Deck. It is incredibly easy to flood the field with high-stat monsters after sending them to the GY, and synergizes will with a lot of Decks that favor sending cards from the Deck straight to the GY.

So long as a version of King's Sarcophagus is on the field, this Deck will easily overpower Memento. It gets even more infurating with the various floodgates added in as a Control Deck.

Horus Control Deck List & Card Guide

Kashtira

Master Duel - Kashtira

Lots of monster effects makes them an easy target for Kashtira monsters, slowly denying them resources and cards on the field with effects from Kashtira Fenrir and Kashtira Unicorn banishing away their cards slowly.

It only gets harder for Memento in this match-up the moment Kashtira Arise-Heart hits the field, and even then that's not yet including any other additional counters it could have.

Kashtira Deck List & Card Guide

Tearlaments

Master Duel - Ishizu Tearlaments

Tearlaments is a fellow Graveyard user much like Memento, which makes this an interesting match-up. This Deck can also make great use of Super Polymerization, and they can do Fusion Summon after Fusion Summon so long as the right cards are being sent to the GY.

They have the same strategy, but Tearlaments is simply better across all fronts. They are also quite the flexible archetype that can make use of other archetypes and Deck Engines.

Tearlaments Deck List & Card Guide

Rescue-ACE

Master Duel - Rescue-ACE

In terms of Control consistency, Rescue-ACE has one of the strongest openings in the game, with a combo that usualy ends with Rescue-ACE Hydrant, Rescue-ACE Turbulence and up to four cards immediately set in the back row.

That many Quick-Play Spells and/or Trap Cards are too much for Memento to deal with, and most of the Deck does not have any form of back row removal--unless they were teched in for safety.

Best Cards to Tech Against Memento

Necrovalley
Necrovalley The Graveyard is a crucial resource pool for Memento Decks, especially when it's needed to bring out one of their key boss monsters. Necrovalley locking cards in the GY crucially denies Memento this very strategy, on top of not being able to use other GY effects like Special Summons.
Super Polymerization
Super Polymerization As most monsters in the Deck are DARK, they are easily susceptible to Super Polymerization when going up against Fusion-centric Decks. Two DARK monsters alone could result in monsters like Starving Venom Fusion Dragon or Predaplant Dragostapelia.
Dimension Shifter
Dimension Shifter Memento happens to use quite a lot of Graveyard effects, and they use the area as a secondary resource pool. Denying them that with a well-timed Dimension Shifty denies them the GY and banishes all cards sent to the GY for the turn.
Skill Drain
Skill Drain Much like the mention above, "Memento" Decks need their effects in order to start their game plan, and most of it are triggered while they are on the field. Skill Drain denies them that very chance, negating all possible chances to trigger or activate those effects.
