Blue-Eyes White Dragon needs no introduction as this point, as one of the most iconic cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! It has even managed to win a Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship once upon a time. However, the Deck's success is short-lived, and was outpaced by newer archetypes that had far better consistency and strength in combos
However, with some new additions, this Deck just shot straight up the tier list.
Maiden of White can Special Summon itself from the GY if a Blue-Eyes White Dragon is Special Summoned once per turn. Getting it there is a lot easier thanks to its discard effect to put up a True Light straight from the Deck, now giving your Blue-Eyes White Dragons immunity from targeted card effects.
Neo Kaiser Sea Horse can Special Summon itself if the dragon is on the field. It can also modify a LIGHT Tuner's level by one in either direction.
The most crucial one, however, is Wishes for Eyes of Blue, which is a searcher for two cards at once: a Level 1 LIGHT Tuner (perfect for Maiden of White), and a Spell Card that mentions Blue-Eyes White Dragon. More often than not, that would be Roar of the Blue-Eyed Dragons, which can Special Summon one of them from the Deck, GY or Banishment.
The aforementioned True Light is now searchable thanks to Maiden of White's effect, and this is now crucial as it becomes a combo extender. It can set a Spell or Trap Card that mentions the titular dragon, which is perfect to get Wishes for Eyes of Blue as soon as possible.
Sage with Eyes of Blue gets perfect synergy as it can add Maiden of White for being a fellow Level 1 LIGHT Tuner. So is The White Stone of Ancients, which Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the Deck at the end of the turn when sent to the GY.
Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon is more of a supplement to the main dragon, further protecting other cards from card destruction effects so long as this monster is face-up on the field. Should a card be destroyed by battle or card effect, this card can Summon itself from the hand or GY.
What ties it all together is the new Link Monster and Field Spell. Spirit with Eyes of Blue can either use a Level 4 LIGHT Dragon or LIGHT Spellcaster as material, and it can search Mausoleum of White on summon. It can also tribute itself to summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, but when it summons an Effect Monster through this, it cannot attack nor can it activate effects.
Mausoleum of White provides one additional Normal Summon of a Level 1 LIGHT Tuner, and it can send a Normal Monster from the Deck to the GY to boost another monster's effects. This might be perfect for Blue-Eyes, but other Dragons that have key Normal Monsters might also make use of this!
Blue-Eyes are normally known for their powerful Fusion Monsters, and they are still are in the Extra Deck. However, with the addition of multiple Tuners, the cards are now switching to a focus on Synchro Monsters instead.
The key monster in Blue-Eyes White Dragon's new strategy is Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon. With most Tuners at Level 1, this is easy to achieve with one of the Dragons. While on the field, players cannot summon more than 2 monsters in one instance, including effects. It can also negate an effect that comes from the GY.
However, it's the last effect that makes it strong in this iteration: it can tribute itself to summon a LIGHT Dragon Synchro monster in the GY.
This counts with the new monster, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Spirit Dragon. Sporting an omni-negate effect that also boosts its own ATK, this Dragon prevents any effects that banishes cards from its user's GY.
The effect of Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon also enables the shenanigans of Crimson Dragon, which in turn can Special Summon a Dragon Synchro Monster with the same level as Ultimate Spirit Dragon.
A key monster to get on the field is Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon, which prevents the side effect of Spirit Dragon that would have destroyed its "evolution". If the player can get another Spirit Dragon to activate its effect, Cosmic Blazar Dragon then becomes another powerful monster to consider with another omni-negate.
The deck also runs a copy of Ultimate Fusion, which is what will be one of two ways to get a Fusion monster on the field. The first strategy in mind is to bring out Dragon Master Magia for its triple omni-negate effect.
Getting Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon to the GY is easy, but players will have to find a way to get a Ritual "Chaos" monster to the GY. In this case, this will be the purpose of Illusion of Chaos--after being sent to the GY by Magicians' Souls.
With enough materials in the GY, options become flexible. Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon can attack up to three times, provided it sends a Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck to the GY.
Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon cannot be destroyed by battle, but can attack twice, and a monster that survives battling this card is banished. That leaves Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon, which is immune to Trap Cards, and can set a Trap Card from the GY if this card battles.
| Step | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | Activate Wishes for Eyes of Blue, then add Sage with Eyes of Blue, and Roar of the Blue-Eyed Dragons. |
| 2 | Normal Summon Sage with Eyes of Blue, and use its effect to add Maiden of White from the Deck. Then, discard Maiden to place True Light on the Spell/Trap Zone, face up. |
| 3 | Activate Roar of the Blue-Eyed Dragons; Special Summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the Deck. This triggers Maiden of White's effect from the GY; use it to Special Summon itself back onto the field. |
| 4 | Activate Roar of the Blue-Eyed Dragons; Special Summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the Deck. This triggers Maiden of White's effect from the GY; use it to Special Summon itself back onto the field. |
| 5 | Using Sage with Eyes of Blue as material, Link Summon Spirit with Eyes of Blue. On summon, this triggers its effect to add Mausoleum of White from the Deck to the hand.. |
| 6 | Activate Wishes for Eyes of Blue in the GY by banishing it; target your Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field; equip it with Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. With this, send Blue-Eyes White Dragon equipped with the Fusion Monster to the GY; Special Summon Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon. |
| 7 | Activate the second effect of Spirit with Eyes of Blue; tribute itself to the GY to Special Summon the Blue-Eyes White Dragon in the GY. |
| 8 |
Activate the following effects in sequence. Chain Link 1: Activate Mausoleum of Night and target Maiden of White; send Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the Deck to the GY. Chain Link 2: Due to being targeted with the Field Spell, you can activate Maiden of White's effect; Special Summon Sage with Eyes of Blue from the GY. |
| 9 | With the two Level 8 Blue-Eyes Dragons and two Level 1 LIGHT Tuners on the field, use them to Synchro Summon into two copies of Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon. |
| 10 | Activate the first Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon; tribute it, then Special Summon Blue-Eyes Ultimate Spirit Dragon. Then, activate the second Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon; tribute it to Special Summon Crimson Dragon. |
| 11 | On Crimson Dragon's summon, trigger its first effect; add a copy of Synchro Rumble to the hand. Then, using its effect, shuffle itself back onto the field to Special Summon Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon. |
A single Wish for Eyes of Blue can spiral the Deck into a proper combo, much like the other archetypes in recent Yu-Gi-Oh! where searching for a specific card can lead to a full combo at the end of the turn.

| Blue-Eyes Ultimate Spirit Dragon | |
|---|---|
|
|
Blue-Eyes Ultimate Spirit Dragon is actually easy to summon through the effect of Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon. This monster has an omni-negate that also increases this monster's ATK, and when destroyed, it can summon a LIGHT Dragon-type monster from the Graveyard. |
| Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon | |
|
|
Another boss monster that can cheated out easily with Crimson Dragon's effects while Blue-Eyes Ultimate Spirit Dragon to is on the field to target. This monster can deal with Monster effects, and on top of that, destroy a card on the field. |
| Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon | |
|
|
Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is basically the upgraded version of Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Though its effect requires it to be the lone Monster on your field, it is a game-ender all on its own. It can launch three attacks in a single Battle Phase, sending "Blue-Eyes" Fusion monsters from the Extra Deck to the GY. |
| Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon | |
|
|
The more common "Blue-Eyes" Fusion monster to summon, Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is much more accessible for most of the time for this Deck. This Dragon is completely unaffected by Trap Card or Effects, and can launch an attack at every monster the oppoent controls, once each. |

Quite possibly the worst match-up to go against as a Blue-Eyes player, even more over the strongest Decks in the game like Fiendsmith Snake-Eyes Azamina.
Even non-Dragon-type monsters in this Deck Recipe are in danger against a Buster Blader Deck, as Buster Dragon turns all monsters on the field into a Dragon, and Buster Blader, The Dragon Destroyer Swordsman can mow them all down with piercing battle damage.

Unless the Blue-Eyes Deck manages to use its new ability to put up multple negates, Yubel can take advantage of the bevy of high ATK monsters the Deck has and use them against the player with the help of Nightmare Pain.
Besides the ability to make use of the Fiendsmith Engine, the Deck is also known to occassionally use Super Polymerization, wiping the entire field of Effect Monsters and setting up both burn damage and a powerful monster in Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever in one fell swoop.

As of writing, Fiendsmith Snake-Eyes Azamina is easily the strongest Deck to run in the current meta. Multiple one-card combos to make use of during their first turn, it always finds a way to get multiple boss monsters out on the field.
Fiendsmith's Desirae, Azamina Ilia Silvia, Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon, and so much more. All the small syneriges for this Deck makes it such a powerful Deck, some have labeled it as Tier 0.
Fiendsmith Snake-Eyes Azamina Deck List

Another fellow user of the Crimson Dragon to cheat out powerful Level 12 Synchro Monsters, Centur-Ion has the unique ability to conduct Synchro Summons during the opponent's turn.
Provided they have the Field Spell and materials to allow them so, this Deck can bring out multiple powerful boss monsters like Red Supernova Dragon and Cosmic Blazar Dragon, alongside its own archetype boss support like Centur-Ion Legatia.
| Lose 1 Turn | |
|---|---|
|
|
Lose 1 Turn is a growing staple for Anti-Meta Stun Decks and other control Decks that want to slow down the game. For its effect to resolve, the user should not have any Special Summoned monsters on their field. When this is fulfilled, newly Special Summoned monsters are forced into Defense Position, and their effects are negated on the turn they were summoned in. |
| Droll & Lock Bird | |
|
|
A crucial part for the Blue-Eyes' playstyle is its card searching and advantage. Droll & Lock Bird stops any further addition to the hand. Be careful when you activate this card, however, as this also turns off Maxx "C"'s lingering effect should you have it active prior to using this hand trap! |
| Called by the Grave | |
|
|
Called by the Grave is unironically one of the best cards to consider against this version of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Deck. With monsters being sent to the GY, this card can deny effect activations or even Special Summons from the GY. Crucially, activating this and targeting Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon activating its effect can deny them Blue-Eyes Ultimate Spirit Dragon for a moment. |
| Super Polymerization | |
|
|
With the Deck being predominantly LIGHT monsters, and even more specifically, LIGHT Dragon-type monsters, this Deck is a prime target for Decks that make use of Super Polymerization. Fusing the boss monsters away into monsters like Mudragon of the Swamp or Garura, Wings of Resonant Life is a real danger. |
| Fallen of Albaz & Alba-Lenatus the Abyss Dragon | |
|
|
Fallen of Albaz is an unorthodox counter to use against Blue-Eyes White Dragon and its bevy of Dragon-type boss monsters, yet it is also one of the best. Even just by setting the monster, this fulfills the condition to make use of itself and all other Dragon monsters on the field to be tributed without warning to bring out Alba-Lenatus the Abyss Dragon. |
| Darkest Magics | Dragon Kings from the Abyss |
| Evoked Dragon of Miracles | Gods of Abyss and Arcadia |
| Legacy Pack | Master Pack |
| Savage Crimson Dragon | Stardust Ties |
| The Azure in the Ivory |
