Playstyle and Win Condition

Swordsoul is a Synchro-based archetype that's been one of the top contenders in both TCG & OCG formats.

Swordsoul focuses on Synchro Summoning using their respective Token monsters as the Tuner monsters. While normally limited to Level 8 and 10 Synchro Monsters, their Spells/Traps can banish themselves from the GY to increase/decrease their Levels offering you more options.

Swordsoul synergizes well with the Tenyi archetype, as both are Wyrm-based and support Synchro Summoning.

Step	Description
①	Activate Tenyi Spirit - Ashuna's Effect to Special Summon itself onto the field.
②	Link Summon Monk of the Tenyi using Tenyi Spirit - Ashuna.
③	Special Summon Tenyi Spirit - Adhara by using its Effect from the Hand.
④	Activate Tenyi Spirit - Ashuna's Effect from the GY → Special Summon Tenyi Spirit - Vishuda from the Deck. → Now, you can only Special Summon Wyrm Monsters for the rest of the turn.
⑤	Synchro Summon Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing using both Tenyi Spirit - Adhara and Tenyi Spirit - Vishuda on the field. → Activate Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing's Effect and destroy the Monk of the Tenyi on the field to Special Summon Tenyi Spirit - Adhara from the GY.
⑥	Synchro Summon Chaofeng, Phantom of the Yang Zing using both Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing and Tenyi-Spirit - Adhara on the field. → Now, your opponent can no longer activate the Effects of Light Monsters, meaning you are currently safe from Nibiru, the Primal Being.
⑦	Normal Summon Swordsoul of Taia → Activate Swordsoul of Taia's Effect to banish Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing from the GY to Special Summon a Swordsoul Token.
⑧	Synchro Summon Swordsoul Grandmaster - Chixiao using both Swordsoul of Taia as well as the Swordsoul Token on the field. → Activate Swordsoul Grandmaster - Chixiao's Effect and search for Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan and send it from the Deck to the Hand.
⑨	Activate Tenyi Spirit - Adhara's Effect from the GY to banish itself and send the banished Tenyi Spirit - Ashuna back to the hand.
⑩	Activate Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan's Effect from the Hand and discard the Tenyi Spirit - Ashuna in the hand to Special Summon it as well as a Swordsoul Token.
⑪	Synchro Summon Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying using both Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan and the Swordsoul Token. → Activate Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan's Effect from the GY to inflict 1200 Damage directly to your opponent.

Step	Description
①	Normal Summon Swordsoul of Mo Ye → Activate Swordsoul of Mo Ye's Effect and reveal the Wyrm Monster in your Hand → Special Summon a Swordsoul Token.
②	Synchro Summon Swordsoul Grandmaster - Chixiao using both Swordsoul of Mo Ye and the Swordsoul Token. → Chain Link Swordsoul Grandmaster - Chixiao's Effect to Search for Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan to send it from the Deck to the Hand while Chaining Swordsoul of Mo Ye's Effect to Draw a card.
③	Activate Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan's Effect by discarding the Wyrm Monster you revealed in your hand to Special Summon it as well as a Swordsoul Token.
④	Synchro Summon Baronne de Fleur using both Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan and the Swordsoul Token on the Field. → Activate Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan's Effect from the GY to inflict 1200 Damage directly to your opponent.

Swordsoul as an Archetype prides itself in its efficiency in Synchro Summoning its big strong Boss Monsters onto the field.

As seen above, with 2 or 3 card combos, one can easily bring out the Archetype's hard hitters -- Chaofeng, Phantom of the Yang Zing, Swordsoul Grandmaster - Chixiao, Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying and even a Baronne de Fleur for good measure.

With Swordsoul Grandmaster - Chixiao, you have the option of negating an Effect Monster's Effects till the end of the turn by banishing 1 Swordsoul or Wyrm Monster from your Hand or GY, which synergizes well with Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying that gains 100ATK/DEF while your opponent's monsters lose 100ATK/DEF for every banished monster.

And by now, who isn't familiar with Baronne de Fleur's effect? With this card on the field, once per turn, you can target one card on the field and destroy it, whilebeing able to negate an Effect when activated once per turn, and destroys the card in the process,

Best Cards to Tech Against Tenyi Swordsoul

	Contact "C"
	Contact "C" pretty much locks your opponent's Tenyi Swordsoul Deck by stopping them from Synchro Summoning, unless they use it as Material.
	PSY-Framegear Gamma
	A hand trap that can be used to negate the effects of your opponent's Tenyi Swordsoul Deck especially when used against cards like Swordsoul of Mo Ye or other similar cards, destroying them in the process.
	Prohibition
	Using Prohibition and naming cards like Swordsoul Mo Ye, Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan, or Swordsoul of Taia will pretty much lock your opponent's Tenyi Swordsoul Deck from being able to perform as it should. Just make sure to use it as soon as you know that your opponent is using a Tenyi Swordsoul Deck before they can bring out any of these cards.
	Effect Veiler
	Another hand trap like PSY-Framegear Gamma that can be used against cards like Swordsoul Mo Ye, or Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan.
	Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring
	This card can be quickly used to cancel specific effects that are at the core of Tenyi Swordsoul decks by discarding this card.

Limit Summons & Negate

This Tenyi Swordsoul Deck relies on searches and chaining summons to use for Synchro Summons to create a strong board early in the game.

Using a combination of spells and traps to interrupt your opponent will quickly put the duel in your favor.
