Makes use of multiple Extra Deck summon options P.U.N.K. Engine synergizes with LP usage of Gold Pride Lots of hand traps available to interrupt the opponent
|
If you only happen to have Ze Amin on hand, you can already make use of the P.U.N.K. Engine into a full combo, while lowering your own LP to your advantage.

Say you have a copy of Gold Pride - Leon and Noh-P.U.N.K. Foxy Tune on hand in your first turn. This combo lets you punish the opponent from having monsters on their field as soon as they hit with Gold Pride - Pin Baller.
Sample Hand | |
---|---|
Step | Description |
1 | Activate Noh-P.U.N.K. Foxy Tune from the hand; send itself to the GY, discard Gold Pride - Better Luck Next Time! and Special Summon Noh-P.U.N.K. Ze Amin from the Deck. |
2 | Activate Noh-P.U.N.K. Ze Amin effect by paying 600 LP, add another copy of Noh-P.U.N.K. Foxy Tune from the Deck to the hand. |
3 | Activate Gold Pride - Leon from the hand due to having lower LP than the opponent; Special Summon itself onto the field. |
4 | Using Gold Pride - Leon and Noh-P.U.N.K. Ze Amin as materials; Xyz Summon Gold Pride - Chariot Carrie onto the field. |
5 | Trigger the effect of Gold Pride - Chariot Carrie on the field; detach one material, then search another copy of Gold Pride - Better Luck Next Time! from the Deck to the hand. Then, activate the Continuous Spell, then add Gold Pride - Roller Baller from the Deck to the hand. |
6 | Due to having lower LP than the opponent, Special Summon Gold Pride - Roller Baller from the hand. |
7 | During the End Phase, trigger the second effect of Gold Pride - Chariot Carrie; return it to the Extra Deck, then Special Summon Gold Pride - Captain Carrie from the Deck. Then, trigger the effect of Captain Carrie; add a copy of Gold Pride - Start Your Engines! from the Deck to the hand. |
8 | During the opponent's Main Phase, trigger the effect of Gold Pride - Roller Baller; using itself and Gold Pride - Chariot Carrie as materials to Fusion Summon Gold Pride - Pin Baller. |
9 | Upon being Fusion Summoned, trigger the effect of Gold Pride - Pin Baller; equip face-up monsters the opponent controls equal to the number of materials used to Fusion Summon this monster. As you still have less LP at the moment, this effect cannot be negated. |

The Gold Pride cards gain benefits from having lower LP than the opponent; once you do, the archetype's monsters gain more effects; usually being able to Special Summon themselves from the hand.
The three main cards for this Deck are Gold Pride - Leon, Gold Pride - Captain Carrie and Gold Pride - Roller Baller. Make sure to have three copies of each of these monsters to enable the Deck's playstyle.
The only Gold Pride card to have one copy, Gold Pride - Nytro Head, Special Summons a Level 8 token that cannot be used as material for a Link Monster. Instead, it can be used as a pseudo-Blasting Fuse effect to destroy cards in an entire column.
The Spell and Trap Cards of the archetype are as essential as the Monsters, and using them as soon as possible. Two of them essentially needs you to have three copies each.
Because of the Gold Pride's effect requirement of having lower LP to gain more effects, this is where the P.U.N.K. Engine comes into play. Their effects usually cost LP as a requirement, which enables the Gold Pride cards with synergy.
Because the Deck requires so little from each of their respective archetypes, this opens up the Deck to add as many hand traps as the player sees fit. Maxx "C" and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring still maintain their overall power as mandatory options.
Called by the Grave stops these two hand traps in particular, while Droll & Lock Bird denies all other card additions and Infinite Impermanence stops monster effects as a Turn 1 counter.
A special effect shared by the "Gold Pride" Extra Deck monsters is their affinity of returning to the Extra Deck. This works to their advantage for the most part, providing advantages as they leave the field and bounce back to the Extra Deck, encouraging the player to keep Summoning them as frequently as possible--regardless of whose turn it is.
As the Deck runs the P.U.N.K. Engine, it stands to reason that it can also run its signature Extra Deck monsters. Rising Carp is an easy way to get two "P.U.N.K." cards on the field to go for either Dragon Drive or Amazing Dragon.
One of the best Control Decks right now is Vanquish Soul and their constant ability to swap monsters between the field and the hand. Said effect can be used defensively, making targeted effects extremely inefficient against this Deck.

Right now, there are few Decks that can contend with the interruption power of a Labrynth Deck. If it goes first, it is able to hand rip a couple of cards with the help of Lovely Labrynth. If it goes second, it can play through any interruptions this Deck may have, and be able to use Trap Cards on the same turn as they were set.

With the right set-up, Hungry Burger Nouvelles can end up using monsters from this Deck as material if they're in Attack Position for their own Ritual Monsters. Its various negates also make it hard for the Deck to initiate any combos if it happens to be able to go first and set up properly.
