| Primite Engine | |
|---|---|
|
|
There are quite a number of Normal Monsters that have 2500 ATK or DEF, making the Primite Engine quite an interesting option for a Deck Engine to go with the Regenesis Deck. Among the most notable of which are Dark Magician and Summoned Skull with 2500 ATK each, Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Igknight Margrave with 2500 DEF. |
| Bystial Dragons Engine | |
|
|
The Bystial Dragons all have 2500 ATK, allowing them to synergize with the Regenesis Deck. It also helps that they have their searchers like Bystial Magnamhut, a draw engine in Branded Regained, and interruptions like Bystial Baldrake and Bystial Druiswurm, among others. |
| Vanity's Ruler | |
|
|
With the sheer number of monsters that can be Special Summoned from the hand, the Regenesis player can decide to be cheeky and slot in one copy of Vanity's Ruler. So long as this monster remains face-up and active on your side of the field, the opponent cannot Special Summon monsters at all. |
| Infinite Impermanence | |
|
|
Infinite Impermanence can force the opponent from using crucial monster effects or give them up, like negations that can interrupt a combo. If you do not have any cards on the field, this can be used from the hand, and if they're used after being Set on the field, they will negate any Spell/Trap Cards used in the same column as this Trap Card. |
| Pot of Extravagance | |
|
|
Pot of Extravagance makes use of the Extra Deck very sparingly, since most of the Deck's strength can be found in the Main Deck itself. Though they do have options depending on the situation, it will mostly be used for fodder on sending cards to the GY, or by banishing them as cost to activate this Spell Card. |

The Regenesis cards are an interesting archetype, as they act as a Deck Engine of sorts that allows the monsters to Special Summon themselves from the hand. The main requirement among the monsters is that you need to reveal a monster that has either 2500 ATK or 2500 DEF.
While they can work with a lot of archetypes who have ace monsters with the required statline, Regenesis can act as a standalone Deck. Although it may need some other Deck Engines and hand traps to fill in the gaps in its playstyle, it can be pretty consistent once players learn how to play the standard combo.
There are four key monsters to consider when building a Regenesis Deck, with all of them having 2500 in either ATK or DEF. Out of all of them, Regenesis Archfiend is is the Deck's best enabler and combo starter.
On summon, it's a searcher for other Regenesis cards once per turn, and can even retrieve cards from the Banishment. Often times this is needed to add either the titular Regenesis Spell or Regenesis Lord.

The other three monsters in the Deck are support, where they protect each other through negates and interruption by sending another Regenesis card from hand or field to the GY .
Regenesis Sage negates and destroys a card, Regenesis Warrior bounces an opponent's monster from the field back to the hand, and Regenesis Dragon banishes a Spell/Trap Card they control.
The boss monster from the Main Deck monsters is Regenesis Lord, which can only be summoned by banishing a monster with 2500 original ATK or DEF from the field or hand. It gains 2500 more ATK during the Battle Phase, and also deals piercing battle damage against monsters in Defense Position.
When Special Summoned, it can Set a Regenesis Spell or Trap Card straight from the Deck. Usually, you would set Regenesis Birth here, but the Spell Cards can be a good clutch if you happen to have it already on hand.

Regenesis is the main Spell Card, and another searcher for the Deck. It can either add or Foolish Burial a Regenesis monster from the Deck. If you already control one, you can instead add a monster that has 2500 orginial ATK or 2500 original DEF.
Regenesis Code locks you out of the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, but is a clutch Quick-Play Spell that can Special Summon a Regenesis monster from the Deck. It can also banish itself during the Main Phase to Special Summon a Regenesis monster from the GY.

Among the Spells and Traps, you always want to get Regenesis Birth from Regenesis Lord's effect. If you already have it on hand, Set it and get ready to use it when able.
This Continuous Trap Card is three cards' effects in one; Foolish Burial due to sending a monster from the Deck to GY as cost, Book of Moon by forcing a monster to face-down Defense Position, and a lighter version of Return from the Different Dimension to Special Summon as many Banished Regenesis cards anywhere.
| Needed Cards on Hand | |
|---|---|
| Step | Description |
| 1 | Activate Nadir Servant; send Garura, Wings of Resonant Life from the Extra Deck to the GY, and search out Dogmatika Ecclesia. Due to sending Garura to the GY, you get to draw a card. |
| 2 | Normal Summon Dogmatika Ecclesia, and use its effect on Normal Summon; search out Dogmatika Fleurdelis and add to the hand. This is crucuial, as Fleurdelis has 2500 ATK and DEF. |
| 3 | Special Summon Regenesis Archfiend from the hand by revealing Dogmatika Fleurdelis. Activate its effect to search out Regenesis Lord. |
| 4 | Banish Regenesis Archfiend from your field to Special Summon Regenesis Lord. On Special Summon, use its effect to Set a Regenesis Spell or Trap from the Deck to the field. ・If you already have Regenesis Birth on hand, set Regenesis Code. ・Vice versa, if you already have Regenesis Code on hand, set Regenesis Birth. |

Maliss is still the undisputed best Deck of the current format, given that they can make combos even during the Regenesis player's turn. Especially dangerous are Maliss〈Q〉White Binder and Maliss〈Q〉Hearts Crypter.
It can banish multiple cards from the field and/or GY, and with even more Cyberse cards added in the Regeneration of Stars Selection Pack, the Deck has even more options like Backup @Ignister Allied Code Talker @Ignister.
Maliss Deck Guide and Card List

True Draco is underrated as a Deck, but with Master Peace having been taken off the banlist for a good while now, this Deck can surprise even players of combo-heavy Decks like Regenesis.
Depending on what cards were tributed in order to Tribute Summon the Deck's ace monster, that card is immune to the cards of the same type. There are also various flood gates the Deck has to deal with.

The Nekroz were once feared by Yu-Gi-Oh players of the past due to their revolutionary way of playing Ritual Monsters. With additional support obtained from the Regeneration of Stars Selection Pack, they might be reaching a new level of power in Master Duel.
Avance, Swordsman of the Nekroz was everything the archetype needed to be very consistent in their combo. The goal is to have monsters like Nekroz of Unicore and Nekroz of Areadbhair summoned to command the field.

Ryzeal comes as a contending second place behind Maliss as one of the best Decks for the format, and players are slowly adding Level 4 monster Deck Engines like Heraldry, Sharks and Utopia as possible ways to get Duo Drive and Detonator on the field more easily.
On top of having a bevy of hand traps and interruptions on hand, Detonator and Ryzeal Cross are often game-ending interruptions in their own right.
