| Lunalight Blue Cat & Lunalight White Rabbit | |
|---|---|
|
|
There are two different Lunalight monsters up for consideration to add to the Deck. First is Lunalight White Rabbit, whose effect on summon Special Summons a fellow Lunalight monster from the GY, and can bounce back Spells/Traps the opponent controls as a soft once-per-town. The second is Lunalight Blue Cat, which can give your Lunalight Fusion mosnters additional firepower by doubling their ATK. |
| Artifact Lancea | |
|
|
Artifact Lancea is still a prominent hand trap to consider for this Deck due to the prevalance of banishing as an effect. Cards like Called by the Grave, Crossout Designator and Gold Sarcophagus will be denied and Decks like Maliss, Tri-Brigade and Kashtira with their banishing effects are going to be neutralized. |
| Bystial Dragons | |
|
|
The Bystial Dragons can be used defensively for this Deck, as they will be great cards to have going up agianst LIGHT and DARK decks that do not gain advantage from having their monsters get banished from the GY. Depending on how the player builds their Extra Deck, they can be used as materials for a Xyz, Link or even a Fusion Summon. |
| Ultimate Slayer | |
|
|
Ultimate Slayer has gained prominence as a powerful card that can take out an Extra Deck Monster the opponent controls, and the opponent cannot activate any monster effect in response to this card. However, this Deck will have to have the correct card in the Extra Deck to send to the GY to activate this card. |
| Lunalight Serenade Dance | |
|
|
One can make a case of adding Lunalight Serenade Dance into the Deck, however it feels bad to have this card drawn instead of searched as this can be a brick when going second. Its most useful effect is by banishing itself from the GY to Special Summon a Lunalight monster straight from the Deck. This also supports the Deck when it summons Fusion monsters by summoning a Lunalight token to the opponent's field, boost the ATK of a monster you target, |
| Guardian Chimera | |
|
|
An unorthodox pick of a Fusion Monster, but it make sense in context. Guardian Chimera provides draws and destroys cards on the field in one fell swoop, and it depends on whether the materials come from the hand or field. This monster also becomes immune to targeted effects while a copy of Polymerization is in your GY. |

The Lunalights' playstyle still has not changed since their release in Master Duel on launch; they are still a powerful combo-heavy Deck that focuses on Fusion Summoning their key monsters, like Lunalight Sabre Dancer and Lunalight Leo Dancer. Through search effects, Special Summons from the Graveyard and the ability to Fusion Summon using Fusion Spells,
However, the archetype has gotten a new breath of life now that it has obtained newer cards that the TCG and OCG have enjoyed for a while with the release of the Future Begins Zero Selection Pack in early November 2025.

The newest addition to the archetype may be its best one yet in the Main Deck: Lunalight Gold Leo. On summon, it can search out a Lunalight monster while discarding a card from the hand. If you discard a Monster, you can trigger this monster's effect while on the field, which lets you retrieve it back to hand, bringing you back up to +1 on card advantage on hand.

Alongside it is the archetype's newest staple, Lunalight Masquerade. On activation, it basically doubles as a Foolish Burial. Its full value shows when Fusion Summoning a monster while this card is active on your field; it can let you add a Polymerization from the GY or Banishment to the hand, then it gives you the option to discard a card.
If you do, this Continuous Spell Card will grant a one-time ability to banish materials from GY when doing a Fusion Summon.

The archetype also includes two new Fusion Monsters, each one having roles that highlight the Deck's strengths.
The first is Lunalight Perfume Dancer, which on summon searches out Luna Light Perfume to be used as a summon from the GY. It can also shuffle back a Lunalight card on your field to Special Summon a Lunalight monster from the hand.
Lunalight Liger Dancer is now the premiere boss monster in the archetype, and the monster you want to summon as soon as possible. Only other Lunalight cards can affect this monster, effectively making it a Towers, and it can even make a second attack during the Battle Phase. It also has a Quick Effect to nuke all other Special Summoned monsters in the field, which can clear the way to an OTK during the Battle Phase.
| Cards Needed on Hand | |
|---|---|
| Step | Description |
| 1 | Normal Summon Lunalight Gold Leo, and use its effect on summon; add Lunalight Yellow Marten to the hand, then immediately discard it in the same effect. Activate Yellow Marten's effect here upon being sent to the GY; add Lunalight Masquerade to the hand. |
| 2 | Activate Lunalight Masquerade, and use its effect; send Lunalight Silver Hound from the Deck to the GY. Trigger Silver Hound's effect after being sent there; Special Summon Lunalight Kaleido Chick from the Deck. |
| 3 | Activate Lunalight Kaleido Chick's effect; send Lunalight Tiger from the Deck to the GY. This is where you will activate Lunalight Gold Leo's second efffect; add the Tiger that was sent to the GY to the hand. |
| 4 | Activate Lunalight Yellow Marten's effect from the GY; Special Summon itself by bouncing Lunalight Kaleido Chick from the field back to hand. |
| 5 | Using Lunalight Yellow Marten and Lunalight Gold Leo as materials, Xyz Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King. On summon, activate its effect to set a Fire Formation - Tenki straight from the Deck. Activate it afterwards to add Lunalight Black Sheep to the hand. |
| 6 | Activate the second effect of Lunalight Black Sheep from the hand; discard itself to add Polymerization from the Deck to hand. |
| 7 | Activate Lunalight Tiger as a Pendulum Scale in one of the Pendulum Zones, then activate its effect; Special Summon Lunalight Black Sheep from the GY. |
| 8 | Conduct a Fusion Summon using Polymerization; use Lunalight Black Sheep and Lunalight Kaleido Chick as materials to Fusion Summon Lunalight Perfume Dancer. |
| 9 | On summon, trigger Lunalight Perfume Dancer's effect as part of a chain with Lunalight Yellow Chick and Lunalight Black Sheep. Chain Link 3: Trigger Lunalight Black Sheep's effect; add back the Kaleido Chick you just used as Fusion Material back to the hand. Chain Link 2: Trigger Lunalight Kaleido Chick's effect to add back the Polymerization you just used to the hand. Chain Link 1: Activate Lunalight Perfume Dancer's effect; add Luna Light Perfume to the hand. |
| Step | Description |
|---|---|
| 10 | Activate Lunalight Perfume Dancer's second effect; bounce back Lunalight Tiger from the Pendulum Zone, and Special Summon Lunalight Kaleido Chick from the hand again. Activate Kaleido Chick's effect again to send Lunalight Emerald Bird from the Deck to GY. |
| 11 | Using Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King and Lunalight Kaleido Chick from the field as materials, Link Summon Cross-Sheep. You have to make sure one of the Link Markers it has is pointing towards Lunalight Perfume Dancer. |
| 12 | Once again, activate Lunalight Tiger to one of the Pendulum Zones. Activate its Pendulum effect to Special Summon Lunalight Emerald Bird onto the other Monster Zone pointed by Cross-Sheep's Link Marker. Because of this, it triggers Cross-Sheep's effect; Special Summon Lunalight Kaleido Chick from the GY, and then activate its effect to send Lunalight Leo Dancer from the Extra Deck to the GY to be treated as Lunalight Leo Dancer. |
| 13 | Activate Luna Light Perfume; Special Summon Lunalight Black Sheep from the GY. |
| 14 | Activate Polymerization; using Lunalight Perfume Dancer, Lunalight Black Sheep, Lunalight Emerald Bird and Lunalight Kaleido Chick (currently as Lunalight Leo Dancer) on your field as mateiral, Fusion Summon Lunalight Liger Dancer. |
| 15 | Activate Lunalight Black Sheep and Lunalight Emerald Bird in a single chain after being sent to the GY as material, as well as Lunalight Masquerade. Chain Link 3: Activate Lunalight Masquerade; add back the Polymerization you just used to summon Lunalight Liger Dancer. Do not discard a card here, unless you have a card you feel like you can toss to the GY to gain advantage from. Chain Link 2: Activate Lunalight Black Sheep; add Lunalight Gold Leo from the GY to the hand. Chain Link 1: Activate Lunalight Emerald Bird, and target Lunalight Kaleido Chick in the GY; Special Sumon it back to the field. |
| 16 | Activate Lunalight Kaleido Chick on the field; send a copy of Lunalight Gold Leo from the Deck to the GY. This is the more crucial part of the effect, as its main effect gets negated thanks to Emerald Bird's efect. |
| 17 | Activate Luna Light Perfume from the GY; banish it from the GY to discard the Polymerization you have on hand to add Lunalight Wolf to the hand. |
| 18 | Activate Lunalight Wolf in the Pendulum Zone. Then, using its Pendulum Effect, banish Lunalight Leo Dancer and three other Lunalight monsters from the GY to be Fusion material for a second Lunalight Liger Dancer. |

This leaves you with a Lunalight Leo Dancer with 3600ATK that can Attack Twice, and after Attacking the first time, giving you the option to destroy all Special Summoned Monsters your opponent controls, giving you a possible OTK.

The key to beating Lunalight Decks is negating and interrupting their Spoecial Summons & card effect activations. You have to prevent them from Fusion Summoning Lunalight Liger Dancer, otherwise they will run down all of your monsters in the Battle Phase.
An Anti-Meta Stun Deck, which is loaded with cards that bottleneck players from effect activations and Special Summons could prove to be a thorn in the side of a Lunalight player.
Anti-Meta Stun Deck List & Card Guide
This Lunalight Deck relies on searches and chaining summons to use for combos to Special Summon from the Extra Deck to create two incredibly powerful monsters that are unaffected by non-Lunalight cards.
You have to prevent the Lunalight player from summoning Lunalight Liger Dancer at all costs. This is where your interruptions and floodgates come into play.
