Budget Flower Cardian Deck Guide: How to Play

Playstyle and Win Condition

Flower Cardian is an interesting archetype that revolves you being able to draw additional cards in your turn.

Each of the main Flower Cardian Monster Cards have effects where if they are Normal/Special Summoned onto the Field, you can draw one card, and if the drawn is a Flower Cardian Card, you have various effects you can trigger such as destroying one of your opponent's cards, destroying one of their Spell/Trap cards, etc. depending on the Flower Cardian Card that is Summoned.

The goal of the deck is to maintain a healthy number of Cards in your Hand to be able to overwhelm your opponent.

Unlimited Draws

The main gimmic of the deck revolves around drawing a card whenever a Flower Cardian Effect is activated. Though this only works if the drawn card is a Flower Cardian Card, there are 29 Flower Cardian Monsters in the Main Deck, meaning each time you draw, there is a very high chance that the card you are Drawing is a Flower Cardian. This effectively gives you a chance to draw a large number of cards in a single turn, just by activating your Flower Cardian Effects.

Core Combos and Interactions

While this deck doesn't have any particular combos it is a very reactionary deck and there are cards that are ideal to have every game.

Destroying your Opponent's Cards

Flower Cardian Clover with Boar Flower Cardian Maple With Deer

These are the main cards that you want to Summon onto the field.

Flower Cardian Clover with Boar has the effect of giving you the option of destroying one of your opponent's monster cards if the card drawn is a Flower Cardian.

Flower Cardian Maple with Deer has a similar effect, but instead of destroying a Monster Card, it gives you the option to destroy an opponent's Spell/Trap Card.

Draglubion & Heart-eartH Dragon

Number 97: Draglubion Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon

Two strong monsters from your Extra Deck. You can easily Xyz Summon Number 97: Draglubion using 2 of your Level 8 Flower Cardian Monsters.

With this, you can detatch 1 Material from Number 97: Draglubion and Special Summon Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon onto the Field with Number 46: Dragluon attatched to it as Material.

This effectively gives you a 3000ATK Monster in the form of Number 97: Draglubion as well as Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon, a monster that cannot be destroyed by battle and whatever battle damage it takes is instead transferred directly to your opponent.

Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon has another effect where during your opponent's End Phase, you can detatch 1 material from it, and banish any and all monsters your opponent has Normal or Special Summoned during their turn, clearing the field for you to deal heavy damage during your next Battle Phase.
