Boss Monsters

Ritual Beast Ulti-Nochiudrago
Ritual Beast Ulti-Nochiudrago The player can only Special Summon Ritual Beast Ulti-Nochiudrago once per turn, but it is well worth it. This monster provides a taunt towards all targeted card effects to protect others. It can also Special Summon a “Ritual Beast” monster by returning this card to the Extra Deck as a Quick Effect.
Ritual Beast Ulti-Gaiapelio
Ritual Beast Ulti-Gaiapelio Ritual Beast Ulti-Gaiapelio has the hardest material requirements out of all the Ritual Beast Extra Deck monster, but its omni-negate effect outweighs the difficulty of its summoning condition. This effect does not have any once-per-turn clause either; so long as you have "Ritual Beast" monsters to banish from the hand, the player can negate effects as much as it can.
Ritual Beast Ulti-Reirautari
Ritual Beast Ulti-Reirautari While Ritual Beast Ulti-Reirautari is on the field, this card will prevent both players from tributing cards to activate effects. This card also comes as a combo piece, with its ability to provide an additional Normal Summon by returning a banished "Ritual Beast" monster.
Thunder Dragon Colossus
Thunder Dragon Colossus With a little help from Nemeses Corridor, Thunder Dragon Colossus can be easily summoned from the Extra Deck. So long as this card is face-up and active on the field, the opponent cannot add any more cards to the hand except via drawing.

Ritual Beast Counters: How to Beat

Best Decks to Use Against Ritual Beast

Floowandereeze

Master Duel - Floowandereeze

As per usual, when it comes to going up against Extra Deck-centric Decks, there is no other Deck that does it better than Floowandereeze. It only gets harder for Ritual Beast once it manages to pull out Floowandereeze & Empen, which is especially strong against Special Summoned monsters in Attack Position.

Floowandereeze Deck List & Card Guide

Anti-Meta Stun

Master Duel - Anti-Meta Stun

Even with some nerfs in the most recent Banlist Update with Jowgen getting banned and Pachycephalo now Limited, the Anti-Meta Stun Deck is still pretty valid, and has options on stopping any heavy play from happening.

Anti-Meta Stun Deck List & Card Guide

Altergeist

Master Duel - Altergeist

The Altergeist Deck can actually evade the Protos lock because of how varied the Attributes of all the archetype's monsters are. The most the player can do is lock down one Attribute, allowing the others to be freed up. This Deck is also a Control Deck as well, which can safely set up against Ritual Beast due to being unaffected by Trap Cards once their set-up is complete.

Altergeist Deck List & Card Guide

Mikanko

Master Duel - Mikanko

Yet another Deck that is safe from the Protos lock available in Ritual Beasts, Mikanko can reflect back battle damage once it has its monsters equipped with certain Equip Spell Cards crash onto any monster. Dangerous among which is Mikanko Water Arabesque, which can tribute away the monster equipped to, to summon a Mikanko monster and get the Equip Spell to boot.

Best Cards to Tech Against Ritual Beast

Maxx "C"
Maxx "C" A regular combo from a Ritual Beast includes a ridiculous amount of Special Summons, inclusive of which are Contact Fusions from the Extra Deck. A well-timed, uninterrupted Maxx "C" can result in a massive card advantage that not even a full complete board can hold up against.
Forbidden Droplet
Forbidden Droplet Currently powerful with the rise of the Tenpai Dragons, Forbidden Droplet is also just as powerful of a counter against the Ritual Beasts. It also halves that ATK of monsters as many as the number of cards discarded to activate this Quick-Play Spell.
Imperial Iron Wall
Imperial Iron Wall A lot of the combo pieces for this Deck require Ritual Beast monsters to be banished from various places--in the Deck, from the GY, even from the hand. While Imperial Iron Wall is active on the field, neither player can banish monsters, which effectively stops the combos that can be performed by this Deck.
