Goblin Biker Breakdown

Goblin Biker Deck Guide: How to Play

Playstyle and Win Condition

Master Duel - Goblin Biker

Goblin Bikers like to swarm the field with Level 3 monsters, and as such make it easy to transition into Rank 3 Xyz Monsters with ease. What makes them unique is that their effects come with having to detach materials from Xyz Monsters in order to use their effects, especially when involving Special Summons

Goblin Biker Cards

Goblin Biker Dugg Charger Goblin Biker Mean Merciless Goblin Biker Boom Mach Goblin Biker Clatter Sploder

Goblin Biker Dugg Charger is the main card for the Deck due to its Spell/Trap Card search effect. The others are support to help get bodies on the field to use as materials for Xyz Summons: Mean Merciless Special Summons a fellow "Goblin Biker" from the hand; Boom Mach Special Summons itself; and Clatter Sploder Special Summons another "Goblin Biker" from the GY.

Goblin Biker Grand Entrance Goblin Biker Grand Bash Goblin Biker Grand Pileup

Even the Spell and Trap Cards of the archetype contribute to this playstyle. Goblin Biker Grand Entrance acts as a searcher, a Special Summon if there is an Xyz Material that can be detached on your field, and a recycle by banishing itself from the GY. Grand Bash provides a small ATK boost, and also provides an additional Normal Summon to the archetype, as well as Level modification for Xyz Summoning.

Goblin Biker Grand Pileup is the sole Trap Card, but is as crucial as it should be: it allows the player to Xyz Summon during the opponent's turn, provided the material requirements are met. It can also negate a monster's effect for the rest of the turn by detaching a material from one of your Xyz Monsters.

Goblin Biker Big Gabonga Goblin Biker Troika Griare Goblin

Goblin Biker Big Gabonga is the main Xyz Monster to start off for this Deck. On summon, it is a searcher for another "Goblin Biker", but the more important effect is its material absorption effect: If materials get detached from any Xyz Monster, this can absorb any face-up monster on the field to itself as material.

Troika Griare enables even more shenanigans. All Goblin monsters get to attack directly if there are three cards total that are attached as materials to any Xyz Monster(s). It can also force a monster to change battle positions if said material(s) is being detached from Xyz Monsters, and can even negate attacks once per turn by detaching a material itself.

Goblin's Crazy Beast targets Spells/Traps to absorb as material, which is very dangerous for Trap Cards and certain Field Spells that have proactive effects. It also provides battle destruction immunity by detaching a material, and once per Duel it can Special Summon itself from the GY and use a fellow "Gobli" card as material.

Level 3 Enablers

Tour Guide From the Underworld Speedroid Terrortop Speedroid Taketomborg
Psychic Wheeleder Psychic Tracker Virtual World Hime - Nyannyan

Due to previous archetypes, there are quite a lot of Level 3 monsters that can easily get themselves and other bodies on the field to conduct an Xyz Summon with. Tour Guide from the Underworld is one of the best to consider as the Goblin Bikers are predominantly Fiend-type, while the Speedroid package of Terrortop and Taketomborg is an immediate access to Goblin Biker Big Gabonga.

Psychic Wheeleder, Psychic Tracker and Virtual World Hime - Nyannyan are also additional Level 3 bodies to consider as they can easily get themselves on the field as soon as possible.

Xyz Armor Engine

Xyz Armor Torpedo Xyz Armor Fortress Full Armored Dark Knight Lancer Full-Armored Xyz

Because the Deck predominantly uses Level 3 monsters, they have a unique strength in being able to access a small Deck Engine involving the Xyz Armor cards. Xyz Armor Torpedo can be a combo extender for the Deck, and Xyz Armor Fortress can go into Full
Armored Dark Knight Lancer, with or without the help of the Trap Card Full-Armored Xyz.

Core Combos and Interactions

Terrortop Basic Combo

A single Speedroid Terrortop is enough to open a combo for the Goblin Bikers to take the field. The end board may not be strong compared to other Decks and archetypes, but it does its job very well.

Boss Monsters

Goblin Biker Big Gabonga
Goblin Biker Big Gabonga Goblin Biker Big Gabonga is the first monster you would usually summon in a typical Goblin Biker combo. On Xyz Summon, it is a searcher for the archetype, and its other effects can absorb monsters from both sides of the field, and its own Deck, into itself as material.
Ashura King
Ashura King While its material requirements are a little more demanding compared to the rest of the Extra Deck, Ashura King makes it worth it for not having a hard once-per-turn clause on its effect negation. Two copies of this card on the field with materials attached means two chances to negate effects as a Quick Effect. It can also launch attacks based on the number of materials attached to it, and increases its ATK for every attack it launches!
Full Armored Dark Knight Lancer
Full Armored Dark Knight Lancer The boss monster of the slotted Xyz Armor engine in the Deck, Full Armored Dark Knight Lancer gets a boost for every material and Equip Card attached to itself. In conjunction with Full-Armored Xyz, and it can absorb a monster the opponent controls as material as well.
Goblin's Crazy Beast
Goblin Goblin's Crazy Beast is brought out with assistance with Goblin Biker Grand Bash, which can provide the Level 6 monsters needed by raising the Levels of Goblin Biker monsters you control. IT can absorb Spells/Traps the opponent controls,
Number F0: Utopic Draco Future
Number F0: Utopic Draco Future While an unorthodox pick, Number F0: Utopic Draco Future is a powerful boss monster that is unaffaceted by battle or card destruction effects. It can also negate the activation of an opponent's monster effect, and if they were on the field when negated, steal it away from the opponent.

Goblin Biker Counters: How to Beat

Best Decks to Use Against Goblin Biker

Kashtira

Master Duel - Kashtira

Kashtira is the best Deck to punish the opponent whenever they make use of monster effects. Cards like Fenrir, Unicorn and Ogre will wreck resources, while Kashtira Arise-Heart acts as both a boss monster and as a floodgate.

Kashtira Deck List & Card Guide

Fire King Snake-Eyes

Master Duel - Fire King Snake-Eyes

Even with some hits to its consistency in the most recent Banlist Update (dated October 10, 2024), Fire King Snake-Eyes is still an incredibly powerful Deck to play. Expect its consitent interruptions and powerful boss monsters to make the Duel hard for Goblin Bikers.

Fire King Snake-Eyes Deck List & Card Guide

Floowandereeze

Master Duel - Floowandereeze

For anti-meta options, Floowandereeze just seems to be the hardest match-up for the Deck. Not only does it completely counter any Special Summon-centric strategy, it even has the option to run floodgates to bottleneck the player's options. Floowandereeze & Empen in particular stops all Special Summoned monsters in Attack Position, whether it be from attacking or from activating effects.

Best Cards to Tech Against Goblin Biker

Dimensional Barrier
Dimensional Barrier Most of the Extra Deck is primarily composed of Xyz Monsters. Once Dimensional Barrier is activated and is properly resolved, it stops all Xyz Summons for the rest of the turn. Trap-centric Decks are more likely to have this in their Deck Recipe.
Skill Drain
Skill Drain Monster effects from Goblin Bikers are mostly resolved on the field. So long as Skill Drain is active and face-up and active, the Deck's combos are effectively halted until they can find a way to deal with this Continuous Trap Card.
Forbidden Droplet
Forbidden Droplet Forbidden Droplet can be used offensively and defensively, especially with the part of the effect that halves tha monsters affected by this Quick-Play Spell Card. On top of that, their effects are negated until the end of the turn, and the player cannot respond to it using the type of cards (Monster, Spell, Trap) that were discarded to trigger this effect.
