Core Combos and Interactions

Snake-Eyes Ash Full Combo

There's a reason Snake-Eyes Ash is currently limited--only one copy of this card is enough to get full combo in a Snake-Eyes Deck, and even more so in a Fire King Snake-Eyes variant.

This ends in a flexible board that becomes interactive during the opponent's turn, thanks in part to Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon and I:P Masquerena.

Cards on Hand
Snake-Eye Ash or Bonfire
Step Description
Optional If you do not have Snake-Eye Ash on hand but do have Bonfire, use the Spell Card to search out the monster..
1 Normal Summon Snake-Eye Ash.
Then, activate its on-summon effect; search out a copy of Snake-Eyes Poplar to add to the hand.
Upon adding to the hand, use its effect and Special Summon it onto the field.
2 Upon being Special Summoned, trigger the effect of Snake-Eyes Poplar; search out Original Sinful Spoils - Snake-Eye to add to the hand.
Then, use Poplar as material to Link Summon Linkuriboh. When sent to the GY, its effect triggers; place it on one of the Spell/Trap Zones.
3 Activate the effect of Snake-Eye Ash; send itself and Snake-Eyes Poplar in the GY to Special Summon Snake-Eye Oak from the Deck.
Upon being Summoned, activate its effect; target Snake-Eyes Poplar to Special Summon back onto the field.
4 Activate the effect of Snake-Eye Oak; send itself and Linkuriboh to the GY to Special Summon Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon.
5 Activate the effect of Original Sinful Spoils - Snake-Eye; send Snake-Eyes Poplar from the field to the GY, then Special Summon Legendary Fire King Ponix from the Deck.
On summon, activate its effect; add Fire King Sanctuary from Deck to hand. Activate the Continuous Spell, which in turn places Fire King Island onto the Field Spell Zone.
6 Activate the first effect of Fire King Island; destroy Legendary Fire King Ponix to add Sacred Fire King Garunix to the hand.
Because of how it was added to the hand, activate Garunix's effect; Special Summon it onto the Field. Then, activate its effect upon being Summoned: destroy Fire King Avatar Arvata from the Deck to send it to the GY.
7 Activate the effect of Fire King Avatar Arvata after being destroyed; target Legendary Fire King Ponix to be Special Summoned it to the field.

Upon being sent to the GY, activate Flamberge Dragon's effect; Special Summon two Level 1 FIRE monsters from the GY. At this point, any one in the GY can work.
9 Using I:P Masquerena and Sacred Fire King Garunix as material, Link Summon Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames.
Afterwards, activate its effect; Special Summon Snake-Eyes Flamerge Dragon back onto the field.
10 Activate the effect of Snake-Eyes Flamerge Dragon; place I:P Masquerena from the GY onto the Spell/Trap Zone.
11 Using Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames and one of the Level 1 FIRE monsters summoned in Step 8 as materials, Link Summon Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf.
12 Activate Linkuriboh from the GY; send the last Level 1 FIRE monster on the field, then Special Summon the Link Monster back onto the field right under Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf's Link Marker.
13 With Linkuriboh being Summoned under its Link Marker, activate Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf; add back Legendary Fire King Ponix back to the hand from the GY.
Optional If you run a copy of Decode Talker Heatsoul, Link Summon it here using Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf and Linkuriboh as materials.

Boss Monsters

Garunix Eternity, Hyang of the Fire Kings
Garunix Eternity, Hyang of the Fire Kings As soon as Garunix Eternity, Hyang of the Fire Kings, it destroys all mosnters from both players' fields. Then, it can also destroy a Spell/Trap once per turn, and gain a permanent ATK bonus off of it as well. On top of that is a floating effect that lets it Special Summon other "Fire King" monsters depending on attached materials.
Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames
Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames is a cornerstone among FIRE-centric Decks, and both "Fire King" and "Snake-Eye" benefit greatly from it for its Special Summon effect to its ability to resurrect itself from the GY. It also helps that it is a LINK-3, making it an easy transition to your LINK-4 boss monsters.
Salamangreat Raging Phoenix
Salamangreat Raging Phoenix One of the newer boss monsters for its own archetype, Salamangreat Raging Phoenix will be mostly used for its ATK boost effect if this card is in the GY and a FIRE monster you control gets destroyed. So long as this was summoned, was sent to the GY and has FIRE monsters getting destroyed, this card will keep coming back stronger than usual.
Underworld Goddess of the Closed World
Underworld Goddess of the Closed World The combo of Underworld Goddess of the Closed World and I:P Masquerena still remains effective to this day. This Link monster has one of the safest ways to remove a monster out of the field, avoiding any triggers that can activate effects for the most part.

Fire King Snake-Eyes Alternate Options

Other Boss Monsters

The Zombie Vampire
The Zombie Vampire There are a couple of monsters that could benefit from The Zombie Vampire's mill effect; if it manages to send like say a Kashtira Fenrir, Fire King High Avatar Kirin or a Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon, you can immediately Special Summon it easily.
Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon
Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon is more of a firepower pick for the Battle Phase, as it can negate all other monsters' effects during said Battle Phase, and all ATK/DEF changes are reverted to their original values. Each time an opponent's effect resolves during the same turn this effect is triggered, it boosts its own ATK, and gains a second attack.
Accesscode Talker
Accesscode Talker A classic choice for Decks that can run LINK-4 monsters, Accesscode Talker is the monster to use to clean up the field and go for the win. IT gains ATK based on the Link Rating of a Link Monster that was used as a material for this monster. Then, its card destruction effect cannot be responded to with any other card effect.
Worldsea Dragon Zealantis
Worldsea Dragon Zealantis Worldsea Dragon Zealantis is a good Link Monster that can reset the field as it likes when it gets Link Summoned. You get to choose which monsters are Special Summoned or Set after being banished by this card's effect. Then, as a Quick Effect in the Battle Phase, it can destroy cards on the field equal to the number of co-linked monsters you control.

Other Support Cards

One for One
One for One One for One works for this Deck due to a couple of key monsters like Ponix or Snake-Eye Ash being Level 1 monsters. This can be a great combo starter if you happen to add this card in your Deck Recipe.
Circle of the Fire Kings
Circle of the Fire Kings Circle of the Fire Kings makes use of the archetype's willingness to get cards destroyed, this time to Special Summon any FIRE monster from your GY. This also includes Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon, or any of the FIRE boss monsters.
Fire King Courtier Ulcanix
Fire King Courtier Ulcanix On summon, Fire King Courtier Ulcanix destroys a FIRE mosnter from your field or hand to search another one from the Deck. Then, this card would match the Level of the monster that was searched out--making it easy for Xyz plays. Once destroyed and sent to the GY, it can Special Summon Fire King High Avatar Garunix from the Deck for free.
Rekindling
Rekindling A couple of the "Fire King" and "Snake-Eye" monsters happen to have 200 DEF, which qualifies them to be Special Summoned through Rekindling's effect. So long as the monsters that were Special Summoned by this card's effect are not on the field, they will not be banished.

Fire King Snake-Eyes Counters: How to Beat

Best Decks to Use Against Fire King Snake-Eyes

Floowandereeze

Master Duel - Floowandereeze Banner

Among the Decks that can mess with Fire King Snake-Eyes, it might have to be Floowandereeze with its effectiveness against aggressive Decks, especially once Floowandereeze & Empen hits the field and stops all effects of their opponent's monsters in ATK position.

They also have the option to run cards like Dimensional Fissure and Macro Cosmos which further denies the usage of the Graveyard.

Floowandereeze Deck List & Card Guide

Runick Control

Master Duel - Runick

It will be especially rough for this Deck if any Runick Deck manages to set up its board and get its Spell Card recursion going. Fire King Snake-Eyes cannot exactly have their crucial cards banished at any cost.

Cards particularly strong among the Runick Cards are Runick Smiting Storm Effect, Runick Dispelling andRunick Slumber

Umi Control

Master Duel - Umi Control

Umi Control, for as strong of a control they have on the field, are actually pretty easy to set up so long as it has Ocean Dragon Lord - Kairyu-Shin. Non-WATER monsters wil lbe weakened against his Deck, and against Fire King Snake-Eyes it is an especially harder match-up.

Best Cards to Tech Against Fire King Snake-Eyes

Any non-FIRE Barrier Statue
Barrier Statue of the Abyss Because this Deck is mostly comprised of FIRE monsters, any Barrier Statue that is not Inferno can shut down this Deck easily.
Dimension Shifter
Dimension Shifter Dimension Shifter can completely mess with this Deck's combos, as all of their cards would much rather be in the Graveyard or be banished. As a hand trap, unless the Fire King Snake-Eyes player has anything that can counter this, they cannot proplerly play the game for a least a game--and that's more than enough to win the Duel.
Evenly Matched
Evenly Matched Yet another card that banishes cards instead of sending them to the GY, Evenly Matched will completley wipe this Deck's end field if they do not have any way to negate this Trap Card's activation.
Necrovalley
Necrovalley Necrovalley keeps all cards in the Graveyard locked there, and cannot be moved anywhere else unless it's a "Gravekeeper" or if the Field Spell is destroyed. This also affects the two archetypes of this Deck, with the number of Special Summon effects crucial for it to do its combos and Special Summons.
