Due to the presence of a Banlist Update and two Selection Packs ending their availability at the end of maintenance, it can be expected that the next maintenance perio will take place on December 5, 2025.

December 2025 Tryout Duels
To celebrate the holidays and the incoming year of 2026, there will be 3 different Tryout Duels on 3 separate dates back-to-back-to-back. Each one of the mini-events will have different formats, keeping things challenging across the board!

Tryout Duels December 2025 Event Guide
Japan High Championship Log-In Campaign
On January 2026, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will be hosting a special tournament featuring high school students in Japan!
In celebration for this, there is a special one-time, one-day Log-In Campaign to receive a Gagaga Academy Emergency Network icon!

December 5 2025 Banlist Update
A new set of cards will have their playability changed with the next Banlist Update taking effect as soon as maintenance begins on December 5, 2025! As of writing, only 3 cards will have their status changed once maintnance beigns on the same day!

December 2025 Shop Updates
Aerial Superiority Selection Pack Released
A new Selection Pack called Aerial Superiority was released on December 5, 2025--just mere days before the December 2025 Duelist Cup!
This Card Pack will bring additional support to the Odion archetype and is looking to be a proper standalone Deck. On top of that, it will mark the debuts of the Artmage and the long-awaited Dracotail archetypes to Master Duel!

Aerial Superiority Selection Pack
Aerial Superiority Dracotail Bundle
As part of the release of the Dracotail archetype in Master Duel through the Aerial Superiority Selection Pack, a special bundle is available starting from the launch of the Card Pack until January 8th, 2026!
For 1500 Gems, they will receive 10 Card Packs from the Selection Pack. On top of that, they will receive Dracotail-themed accessories, like a Coin, Wallpaper, Icon, Card Protector and Mate's Base!

Birth of a Challenger
Birth of a Challenger is a Selection Pack that came alongside the start of the eFootball™ collaboration event in October 2025.
There are no new cards added to the game in this Selection Pack. However, it has some of the strongest cards players use across every Deck currently in the meta.

Beat the Boss Rush
Beat the Boss Rush is a Selection Pack released in late October 2025. This Selection Pack features support for archetypes like Dragonmaid, Nouvelles, the Morganite Cards and Wight among others.
This is also a simultaneous release of new cards for the B.E.S. archetype, which were released in the OCG before they made their debut in Master Duel!

Two different Secret Packs have their focused card pool updated after the maintenance on December 5, 2025!
