Treasure Panda Exodia Deck Guide: How to Play

Playstyle and Win Condition

Treasure Panda Exodia is an FTK deck that capitalizes on Treasure Panda's strong non-once-per-turn Effect. It lets you swarm the field with ease and assemble the pieces of Exodia quickly.
The deck has only one win condition: to assemble Exodia on the very first turn.

Exodia the Forbidden One Left Arm of the Forbidden One Right Arm of the Forbidden One Left Leg of the Forbidden One Right Leg of the Forbidden One

The 5 pieces of Exodia are the deck's win condition. Although they are commonly brick when you open them in your starting hand.

Treasure Panda Summoner Monk Flamvell Guard Water Spirit

Treasure Panda is the deck's main source of swarming the field. By banishing Spell cards in the Graveyard, you can Special Summon a Normal Monster from the deck. The monsters summoned by this effect will then be used as Synchro or Link materials, which lets you draw more cards.

Summoner Monk lets you Special Summon Treasure Panda from the deck, effectively making your Treasure Panda into 6 copies in the deck.

Flamvell Guard and Water Spirit are your generic Level 1 Normal Tuner that will be used alongside Exodia parts for Synchro Summoning.

Upstart Goblin Into the Void One Day of Peace Chicken Game

These cards let you draw 1 card. Having max copies of each effectively thins your deck to roughly around 30 cards. (Since you run them all at 3 except One Day of Peace). This also fuels your Graveyard with Spell Cards, allowing Treasure Panda to activate its effect

Toon Table of Contents Toon World

The Toon Spells engine serves as a deck thinner for the combo. With 3 Toon Table of Contents and 1 Toon World along with the other draw spells, the deck is effectively 26 copies only. This also serves as cost fodder for Treasure Panda.

Wonder Wand White Elephant

Another Draw Engine for the deck, Wonder Wand, and White Elephant's Gift can easily convert your Monsters on the field for card advantage to further thin out the deck.

Dark Factory of Mass Production Pot of Avarice Tri-Wight

Since the deck does not literally draw the parts of Exodia, but instead Special Summon them from the deck, you need cards to Recycle the parts.

Dark Factory of Mass Production lets you return the limbs of Exodia from the Graveyard.

While Pot of Avarice lets you return to the deck to later be drawn or used as an extender for Treasure Panda's combo.

Tri-Wight works as another combo extender for your Extra Deck plays so that you can draw cards more.

Formula Synchron Saryuja Skull Dread Topologic Zeroboros

Formula Synchron and Saryuja Skull Dread are your primary Draw Cards in the Extrad deck. Which can easily be summoned using Treasure Panda's Effect.

When things go south, you can always opt to use Topologic Zeroboros instead to just impose a board wipe threat as well as control a large attack monster on the field.

Core Combos and Interactions

Standard Combo

Treasure Panda's way of assembling the Exodia is a little bit unconventional. It summons the limbs of Exodia to thin the deck then later on adds them back to hand from the Graveyard thanks to Factory of Mass Production.

Card(s) Needed on Hand
Treasure Panda + Toon Table of Contents
Step Description
1 Normal Summon Treasure Panda.
2 Activate Toon Table of Contents 3 times to search itself and Toon World.
3 Activate Treasure Panda's effect to Special Summon any Normal Monster from the deck.
4 Synchro Summon Formula Synchron using the monsters you Summoned using Treasure Panda's effect
Alternatively, you can also Link Summon Saryuja Skull Dread instead.
5 Activate any Draw Spell cards in your hand. (Upstart Goblin, One Day of Peace, Into the Void, Chicken Game, etc.)
6 Repeat steps 3,4, and 5 until you have 2 copies of Dark Factory of Mass Production and Exodia the Forbidden One in your hand.
7 Activate Dark Factory of Mass Production twice, to add the limbs of Exodia from the Graveyard to hand.

Notes:
There is no correct order for the combo of this deck. The only goal is to draw Exodia the Forbidden One, and 2 copies of Dark Factory of Mass Production.
To do that, the deck needs to continuously Synchro and Link Summon to further draw and thin the deck out

Alternative Options

Exodia Crooked Cook

Number 59: Crooked Cook Right-Hand Shark

A different variant of Exodia Deck, Crooked Cook is on the opposite side of the spectrum. Instead of finishing the game in one turn, this deck relies on slowly killing the opponent by stalling for multiple turns.
As Crooked Cook becomes immune to battle destruction thanks to Right-Hand Shark and with its effect being immune to other effects.

Other Draw Options

T.G. Hyper Librarian Hand Destruction

T.G. Hyper Librarian is another Synchro Monster that lets you draw more cards each time you Synchro Summon.
Hand Destruction lets you refresh your hand, the downside here is your opponent has the chance as well, increasing their chances to draw a hand trap to stop the deck.

Best Cards to Tech Against Treasure Panda Exodia

Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit
Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit When Treasure Panda is hit by Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, the tempo of the deck will greatly slow down since you can no longer swarm the field using Treasure Panda.
D.D. Crow
D.D. Crow This deck does not have any recycler from the Banish zone, so once any part of Exodia is Banished, the deck loses its win condition.
Droll & Lock Bird
Droll & Lock Bird Majority of the cards in the Deck draws you a card, getting hit with Droll will surely kill the deck as it cannot function anymore and will fail to assemble the needed parts for the FTK.
Effect Veiler
Effect Veiler Once Treasure Panda's effect is disrupted, there is no way for the deck to swarm the field with normal monsters. Similar case to Infinite Impermanence.
Dimension Shifter
Dimension Shifter Having your access to graveyard removed, there's no way for you to recycle the parts of Exodia, making the win condition of the deck harder to achieve.
