Fiendsmith's Desirae is the key monster aimed to summon for the most part when using the Fiendsmith Engine. Its multi-card omni-negate Quick Effect is quite powerful, and can win games on their own with the right timing. |

|
With the presence of multiple LIGHT and DARK monsters on the field, Chaos Angel can be brought in as a boss monster. It helps that even if the Deck does not have a natural Tuner monster, it can make use of DARK monsters and consider them as the stand-in for Tuners. |
| Magical Musketeer Max | |
|
|
Magical Musketeer Max is the kingpin of the Deck's strategy. On Link Summon, it can either generate card advantage depending on the number of monsters the opponent controls, or Special Summon other "Magical Musket" monsters based on the Spell/Trap Cards they control. While this card is on the field, the user can activate "Magical Musket" Spells and Traps from the hand on either player's turn. |

Underworld Goddess of the Closed World can make use of a monster the opponent controls as material to summon this Link Monster. On summon, it negates all other monsters on the field, and it can negate a Special Summon effect once per turn. |

Best Decks to Use Against Fiendsmith Magical Musketeer
True Draco
True Draco is at full power once again now that Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King has been unbanned. With the right cards being tributed to summon it, that monster alone can win the game against either the Fiendsmith Engine or the Magical Musket cards.

Labrynth
Labrynth's Trap Cards are far more potent, and the Deck can even take advantage of the activation of said Magical Musket Trap Cards for their own benefit. Especially crucial is Lady Labrynth of the Silver Castle enabling its shenanigans, all the while being immune to targeted effects while Trap Cards are set on their side of the field.

Yubel
Yubel has surprising amounts of counterplay against Magical Musketeers. Having 0 ATK on the Yubel monsters means Magical Musket - Cross-Domination lost half of its effectiveness, it can retrieve Continuous Spell Cards with Opening of the Spirit Gates, and destroying Yubel monsters just triggers their floating effects to be replaced with a different or more powerful variant.
Voiceless Voice
In terms of consistency for opening hands and combos, there's little competition against Voiceless Voice. One single card is enough to get Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice out on the field, alongside various Continuous Spells and Traps that protect it or control the field.

Best Cards to Tech Against Fiendsmith Magical Musketeer

While Jinzo is on the field, all Trap Cards from both players' respecitve Fields are negated. Sure, this card could be stopped with Cross-Domination, but it is safe to assume the Jinzo user will have some sort of counter against Spell Cards, especially those that target this Machine-type monster. |

|
Kashtira Arise-Heart is a powerful card against Magical Musketeers due to its Macro Cosmos-esque effect, but Kashtira Shangri-Ira is the more dangerous card against this Deck. With an archetype as reliant in card positioning as the Magical Musketeers are, enough procs of Shangri-Ira's effect can prevent the player from making use of their potent Spells and Traps by blocking the Spell/Trap Zones from further use. |

Just as the Deck can make use of Fiendsmith's Desirae for its multi-card omni-negate, any Deck that uses the Fiendsmith Engine can also summon this boss monster out on the field and make use of the same effect. |
| Skill Drain | |
|
Skill Drain turning off all Effect Monsters on the field means the Magical Musketeer monsters also cannot make use of their effects, especially the ability to trigger Magical Musket Spells and Traps during either player's turn. |
