P.U.N.K Deck Guide: How to Play

Playstyle and Win Condition

P.U.N.K. is an archetype of Psychic Type Monsters with various Attributes. Their playstyle revolves around paying LP for beneficial effects like adding cards from the deck, Fusion Summoning, and Synchro Summoning during the opponent's turn.

Noh-P.U.N.K. Ze Amin Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Sharakusai Noh-P.U.N.K. Foxy Tune

Noh-P.U.N.K. Ze Amin is the archetype's main searcher. It can search any monster from the Deck except itself. It also has a floating effect that boosts a P.U.N.K. Monster's attack, you can utilize this effect to properly Chain Block your effects.

Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Sharakusai is the bridge of the archetype. Its effect lets you Fusion Summon by paying LP. It also has a Quick-Effect that lets you Synchro Summon during your opponent's turn.

Noh-P.U.N.K. Foxy Tune is a pseudo-copy of every Punk in the deck. it acts as the 4th copy of certain combo starter like Ze amin.

Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Rising Carp Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Amazing Dragon P.U.N.K. JAM Dragon Drive

Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Rising Carp lets you Special Summon 2 PUNKs with different names with each other from the Deck or hand. Rising Carp also gives your Synchro Monster the ability to attack twice if it was used as a Material.

Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Amazing Dragon lets you bounce cards your opponent controls for every differently named Level 3 Psychic type Monsters in your Field and Graveyard when it is Synchro Summoned. Using Sharakusai's effect let you Summon Amazing Dragon during your opponent's turn.

P.U.N.K. JAM Dragon Drive lets you add to hand or send to the Graveyard any Level 3 Psychic Monster from the Deck. You can add Ghost Ogre with this effect, adding another form of disruption to you combo.

Core Combos and Interaction

1.5 Card Ze Amin Combo

This 1.5-Card Ze Amin combo needs another card for the discard cost.

Required Cards
Noh-P.U.N.K. Ze Amin + Any random card.
Step Description
1 Normal Summon Ze Amin then activate its effect to add Foxy Tune from the Deck to hand.
2 Activate Foxy Tune's effect, sending itself and the random card in your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon Sharakusai from the Deck.
3 Activate Sharakusai's effect to Fusion Summon Rising Carp using Ze Amin and Sharakusai as materials.
4 Activate Rising Carp's effect by tributing itself to Special Summon Wa Gon and Deer Note from the Deck. Activate Wa Gon's effect to add P.U.N.K. JAM Extreme Session from the Deck then activate it.
5 Synchro Summon JAM Dragon Drive using Wa Gon and Deer Note as materials.
6 Activate JAM Dragon's on Summon Effect as Chain Link 1 and Deer Note as Chain Link 2. Special Summon Sharakusai using Deer Note's effect and add Madame Spider using JAM Dragon's. Alternatively, you can add Ghost Ogre instead if you already have the needed PUNK monster in Hand.
At the same time, Extreme Session will also activate since you paid LP for a Psychic Monster's effect, letting you draw 1 card.
7 Activate Extreme Session by banishing Rising Carp in the Graveyard to Special Summon Madame Spider from hand. Then activate its effect to add Dangerous Gabu from the Deck to hand. Extreme Session's second effect will activate again letting you draw another card.
8 Set Dangerous Gabu face down.

2 Activate Rising Carp's effect by tributing itself to Special Summon Ze Amin and Wa Gon from the Deck. Activate Ze Amin to add Foxy Tune from the Deck. Activate Wa Gon's effect to add P.U.N.K. JAM Extreme Session from the Deck then activate it.
3 Activate Foxy Tune's effect, sending itself and the random card in your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon Deer Note from the Deck.

Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Amazing Dragon Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Amazing Dragon is your main Boss Monster. This card can single-handedly win you the game if summoned onto a relatively weak board. Amazing Dragon offers you removal and tempo advantage.
Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Rising Carp
Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Rising Carp Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Rising Carp is your extender and your primary setup card for Amazing Dragon. This card acts as an extender, or potential finisher, due to its effect of giving P.U.N.K monsters the ability to attack twice. Additionally, it's main goal is to setup Amazing Dragon by summoning two P.U.N.K monsters from your deck.

Baronne de Fleur Baronne de Fleur serves as your secondary Boss Monster next to Amazing Dragon. This card offers versatility as it can negate card effects, card destruction, and Graveyard support.

Best Cards to Tech Against P.U.N.K

Maxx "C"
Maxx "C" Maxx "C" is one of the strongest counters to P.U.N.K as the deck relies on chaining special summons to get its Boss Monsters out. Chances are, a perfectly timed Maxx "C" will give your opponents the answer to your board.
Nibiru, the Primal Being
Nibiru, the Primal Being Nibiru, the Primal Being works similar to Maxx "C" as it punishes decks that Special Summon a handful of Monsters in one turn. Unlike Maxx "C", however, Nibiru outright destroys the cards on the field.
