Unlocked rewards are automatically earned once players open the Duel Pass Screen. Any excess rewards that cannot fit your inventory will be sent to the Gift Box, instead.
Note: Duel passes have expiration dates. Make sure to collect your rewards before the pass expires!

In order to level up the Duel Pass, players will need to earn Duel Pass Points. These can only be obtained through either Ranked Duels or Event Duels.
| Activity | Duel Pass Points Reward |
|---|---|
| Compete in a Duel | 50 to 100 Points |
| Win a Duel | 120 Points |
| Surrender | 0 Points |
Levels in the Duel Pass are called Grades, and the amount of points needed for each Grade Range changes as you get higher in the Duel Pass.
For example, in order to level up from 31 to 32, players will need 150 Duel Pass Points. Compare this to leveling up from 2 to 3, which only needs 80 Duel Pass Points.

For long-time players of Yu-Gi-Oh! or TCG veterans looking to grind out the new meta introduced by Master Duel, the Duel Pass is a must-buy!
Given how generous the game is when rewarding Gems, returning players can take advantage of the Duel Pass to get more craft points and build their dream deck.
For casual players, you can hold-off on purchasing until you've learned how to build and optimize a deck, and gotten through all the tutorial content for new players.
You can still earn Duel Pass Points even without the Duel Pass. So keep playing and decide later on whether the rewards are worth it for your skill level!

If you're familiar with recent live service games, then the Duel Pass can be compared to a Battle Pass, rewarding players for simply playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on a consistent basis.
The Normal Duel Pass is automatically given to players, while the Gold Duel Pass can be bought at the Store for 800 Gems - Master Duel's form of in-game currency.

While priced using in-game currency, the Duel Pass is very friendly to Free-to-Play players. Gems are easily earned by playing, and the rewards of the Normal Duel Pass are fine, even if it only goes up to Level 50.
At Level 50, players will get 300 Gems and enough Craft Points to generate at least 1 Ultra Rare Card, 1 Super Rare Card, and 1 Rare Card.
For players looking to get into a serious Master Duel grind, purchasing the Gold Duel Pass is well worth it as they will earn back the 800 Gems they spent by Level 100.
If players are in it for the long haul and looking to test their mettle in Ranked Duels or Events, then the Gold Duel Pass will be a very good investment.
