Mannadium Deck Guide: How to Play

Playstyle and Win Condition

Master Duel - Mannadium Banner

Mannadium's playstyle revolves around destroying their own monsters in order to gain more effects. This is especially true with its Tuners, who benefit the most after beind destroyed by card effects.

Main Deck

Mannadium Meek Mannadium Torrid Mannadium Riumheart

The main Tuners in the Deck are Mannadium Meek and Mannadium Torrid; both cards Special Summon a "Mannadium" Tuner from the Deck if they were destroyed by card effect, plus they gain 2 Levels.

Visas Starfrost

The Tuners have fantasic synergy with Visas Starfrost; they can be Special Summoned from the hand if this monster is on the field. Visas Starfrost's effect to Special Summon itself from the hand also works with the Mannadium Tuner's playstyle of being destroyed to gain more card effects.

Mannadium Abscission ・Targets & destroys a monster you control
・Searches Peaceful Planet Calarium or another "Mannadium" Spell/Trap
・Special Summon Visas Starfrost from the GY by banishing this Spell Card from GY
Mannadium Imaginings ・Draws 2 cards after revealing a "Mannadium" monster or "Visas Starfrost"; places one of the two cards drawn to bottom of Deck
・Targets a monster with 1500 ATK/2100 DEF and treats it as a Tuner until end of turn
Peaceful Planet Calarium ・Adds a "Mannadium" Tuner or a "Visas Starfrost" to the hand
・Special Summons a Tuner Monster when destroyed by battle or card effect
Mannadium Reframing ・Negates the activation of an effect while you control a Synchro Monster
・Controlling certain monsters allows cards negated by this Trap Card to be destroyed
・Shuffles 3 "Mannadium" monsters from GY back to the Deck by banishing itself

The various Spells and Traps under the "Mannaidum" archetype supports the Deck's ability to Special Summon--from resource management to having monsters on the field to be used as summon material..

Scaerclaw Engine

Scareclaw Reichheart Scareclaw Light-Heart Primitive Planet Reichphobia Scareclaw Arrival

Visas Starfrost has innate synergy with the Scareclaw archetype; one of the many that has a monster fulfilling the 1500 ATK/2100 DEF stat line--Scareclaw Reichheart. Summoning it searches out a "Scareclaw" Spell/Trap, which is almost always Scareclaw Arrival for this Deck. It can also provide a free draw in the same effect, if the conditions are fulfilled.

Meanwhile, Scareclaw Light-heart is a key searcher for the Field Spell Primitive Planet Reichphobia, which not only lowers stats depending on the number of monsters you control in Defense Position, but provides a free card destruction effect if you have at least three monsters in Defense Position.

Kashtira Engine

Kashtira Fenrir Scareclaw Kashtira

The Kashtira Engine has fewer cards than the Scareclaw Engine, as you'll only be bringing two monsters. Kashtira Fenrir is a great opener while you control no monsters, searches out Scareclaw Kashtira and banishes a card on the field if its conditions are triggered.

Hand Traps

Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring Droll & Lock Bird Maxx "C"
Called by the Grave Forbidden Droplet Infinite Impermanence

In the current meta, hand traps are all but necessary; going into a Duel without a couple in the Deck is very disadvantageous.

A Mannadium Deck has quite a lot of room for multiple hand traps, and these six cards are some of the most widely-used cards. They make quite a difference in interrupting the opponent's plays.

Extra Deck Monsters

Vicious Astraloud

A powerful addition to the game is Vicious Astraloud, who doesn't even need Polymerization of a Fusion Spell--all it needs is to banish its required materials from the field and/or GY as cost. It's immune to battle destruction, has a free monster destruction upon Special Summon, and gains half the ATK of the monster it destroys through this effect.

Mannadium Prime-Heart

The main Synchro Monster for the Deck is Mannadium Prime-Heart; which can attack depending on the number of Tuners it used as material. If brought out using a "Mannadium" Tuner, this monster is also immune to targeted effects.

Stardust Dragon Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon

The Stardust Dragon engine perfectly fits the Mannadium Deck, given that Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon's effect brings out its original version, alongside a Level 2 Tuner to be used in a Synchro Summon immediately afterwards.

Baronne de Fleur Bystial Dis Pater Chaos Angel Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying

The Level 10 Synchro Monster to summon is going to depend on what you need on the field. Baronne de Fleur provides negates and card destruction; Bystial Dis Pater provides more negates and Special Summons; Chaos Angel banishes a card on Special Summon and has self-given immunities; and Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying banishes more cards and control stats.

Cross-Sheep I:P Masquerena Knightmare Unicorn Accesscode Talker Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess

For Link Monsters, run with the best ones you can utilize. All of the Link Monsters in this Deck Recipe are some of the most used across multiple Decks due to the advantages they provide once summoned. Special mention goes to Cross-Sheep for having different effects trigger if a certain type of Extra Deck Monster is summoned to a Monster Zone it points to.

Boss Monsters

Bystial Dis Pater
Bystial Dis Pater Once per turn, Bystial Dis Pater can Special Summon a LIGHT or DARK monster that was banished, even if it's the opponent's. It also has a Quick Effect that shuffles banished cards into the Deck; if it's from the opponent's side, it can also negate the effect it's responding to.
Chaos Angel
Chaos Angel Depending on the materials used to Synchro Summon Chaos Angel, it can enjoy either monster effect immunity to itself and fellow Synchro Monsters, or be completely impervious in battle. If it manages to fulfill both requirements of LIGHT and DARK monster material (which either can also serve as a Tuner even if they're not), it gains both effects.
Mannadium Prime-Heart
Mannadium Prime-Heart Depending on the number of Tuner monsters used as material, Mannadium Prime-Heart can attack the opponent for that many times. If it uses a "Mannaidum" Tuner monster, it becomes immune to the opponent's targeted card effects. If it leaves the field due to one of the opponent's cards, it has a floater effect to Special Summon a Visas Starfrost, or any monster with 1500 ATK & 2100 DEF.
Baronne de Fleur
Baronne de Fleur A classic option to all Synchro-centric Decks, Baronne de Fleur is one of the best generic material Synchro Monsters in the game. Its card destruction, omni-negate Quick Effect, and Special Summon during the Standby Phases can all be used for the benfit of this Deck.

Mannadium Counters: How to Beat

Best Decks to Use Against Mannadium

Labrynth

Labrynth Top Image.png

Once Labrynth begins to use its recursion and continuously recycle its Trap Cards, it will be hard for Mannadium players to deal with the constant interruptions and control over the field. They have to tech cards in to deal with the Labrynth Deck's backrow first and foremost.

Labrynth Deck List & Card Guide

Kashtira

Master Duel - Kashtira Top Image.png

Kashtira has a number of very powerful monsters that punish the opponent if either they attack, or their opponent's monsters activate their effects. Even more problematic is their zone-locking tendencies, which Synchro Decks like Mannadium need due to how Synchro Summons work.

Mathmech

Mathmech Deck Top Image.png

With the recent support its managed to received with newer Cyberse monsters, Mathmech is one of the strongest Decks in the meta as of writing. Regardless if they go first or second, they always have a line to commit to a game-winning combo.

Best Cards to Tech Against Mannadium

Summon Limit
Summon Limit As a Synchro-centric Deck, Mannadium has an innate weakness for needing too many Special Summons. Restricting them with cards like Summon Limit makes it harder for the Deck to get to its boss monsters in the Extra Deck--they have to remove this card from the field, somehow.
Skill Drain
Skill Drain Most of the monsters in a Mannadium Deck trigger their effects while on the Field. Skill Drain effectively neutralizes that strength so long as this Continuous Trap remains active and face-up on the field.
Maxx "C"
Maxx "C" As a Special Summon-heavy Deck, Maxx "C" becomes the Deck's most problematic counter, and just about every Deck in the current meta runs it. Unless the player has the proper counter or hand trap to deal with this card, each Special Summon grants the opponent more cards to deal with you.
Super Polymerization
Super Polymerization Depending on the Deck it encounters, Super Polymerization can quickly turn Mannadium's monsters into Fusion Material for their own benefit. It doesn't help that the Deck has a lot of LIGHT and DARK monsters--some of the most represented Attributes in the game, and a number of archetypes use them as Fusion Material.
