| Fallen of Albaz | |
|---|---|
|
|
Fallen of Albaz can be used as a small Branded Deck Engine for the Dragonmaids to use, especially as they can make use of some of the Dragonmaids as Fusion Material for their boss monsters. This also opens up to their key monsters like Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon or Titaniklad the Ash Dragon. |
| Dark End Evaporation Dragon | |
|
|
Dark End Evaporation Dragon can banish a Level 8 monster from the Extra Deck to Special Summon itself, and in a Dragonmaid Deck the Dragon-only restriction does not matter. It can also conduct a Fusion Summon in place of Fusion Spells, making it easier to summon Dragonmaid Sheou. |
| Khaos Starsource Dragon | |
|
|
Khaos Starsource Dragon is an altenate choice for the Extra Deck, especially if you run other Fusion Spells like Super Polymerization. It destroys cards on the field based on the number of LIGHT and DARK monsters it used as Fusion Material. |
| Artifact Lancea | |
|
|
With Maliss still a potent Deck at the top of the tier list, Artifact Lancea ensures that the opponent cannot banish cards for the rest of the turn. This also turns off cards that banishes cards either as cost or as effect, like Called by the Grave. It also disables card effects like Dimension Shifter and Macro Cosmos! |
| Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon | |
|
|
Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon provides an additional Special Summon of a Dragon-type monster, which is something the Dragonmaids want ot enable to get their stronger Dragon counterparts. |

The Dragonmaids have been around since the beginning of Master Duel, with people finding ways to slot other Dragon-centric Deck Engines to support as more cards keep getting added to Master Duel.
Their main playstyle remains just about unchanged; the goal of getting House Dragonmaid and Dragonmaid Sheou constantly tagging in and out in order to provide protection. This is the Deck's core gameplay as a mid-range aggro Deck, having defensive options always at the ready.
The key with Dragonmaid Decks is to overwhelm your opponent by continuously reviving your Dragonmaid monsters, tagging between their maid and dragon versions. Using card effects between turns and Standby Phases make it hard for your opponent to decide which point of interaction they have to deal with first.

The Dragonmaids revolve around their ability to swap between their two “forms”; the maid version and their stronger Dragon counterparts. They usually do this just as the Battle Phase begins, protecting the weaker versions.
The weaker maids provide card advantage, whether by searching fellow Dragonmaid cards, sending them to the GY or even Special Summoning one from the GY. The Dragons provide powerful effects potent in the Battle Phase, including protection while you control a Dragon-type Fusion Monster.

The end goal is to get their key boss monster, Dragonmaid Sheou which provides a powerful omni-negate before swapping back to its maid form. This card can switch into its maid form, House Dragonmaid, which then enables the other Dragonmaids in getting to their Dragon versions.

This is now made easier with the newest Dragon-type Fusion Monster for the archetype, Lady's Dragonmaid. This monster does not even need to use a Fusion Spell in order to be Summoned from the Extra Deck, and on top of that it Special Summons another Dragonmaid monster from the Deck.
While it does not have a Dragon counterpart, it provides Fusion support instead by shuffling materials from the Graveyard or Banishment to Fusion Summon a Dragon-type monster. Typically, this is used to summon House Dragonmaid during the opponent's turn!

To get there, you need some additional support from their Spells and Traps. Dragonmaid Hospitality is still the staple combo enabler for the Deck, providing an additional Special Summon from the hand or GY. Dragonmaid Changeover is an option to have in order to get to House Dragonmaid or Dragonmaid Sheou.
Dragonmaid Tidying serves as a monster bounce back to hand when activated normally on the field. However, it can banish itself from the GY to Special Summon a Dragonmaid monster from the GY, and it can be used offensively or defensively.

The Bystials make for powerful support for the Dragonmaids, not only providing a way to search and get more card advantage, but also to deny the opponent cards if they have DARK or LIGHT monsters in their GY.
Then, The Bystial Lubellion can be discarded from the hand in order to get either of the Branded support cards tied to the Bystials.

Branded Regained can provide a free draw if a LIGHT or DARK monster gets banished once per turn, all the while allowing to Special Summon a Bystial monster from the GY during your turn. Branded Beast can tribute a Dragon you control to pop a card on the field, and during the End Phase can set up Branded Regained if that card is in the GY.

A surprising card to have in the Deck Recipe is Sangen Kaimen. Typically a card reserved for Tenpai Dragon Decks, its search effect actually synergizes with Dragonmaid as a great way to get Kitchen Dragonmaid.
| Card(s) Needed on Hand | |
|---|---|
| Step | Description |
| 1 | Normal Summon Kitchen Dragonmaid, and activate its effect; send Dragonmaid Tidying to the GY. |
| 2 | Banish Dragonmaid Tidying from the GY; use its effect to Special Summon Chamber Dragonmaid from the Deck. |
| 3 | Use Chamber Dragonmaid's effect to search for Dragonmaid Changeover. Then, activate it immediately; using Chamber Dragonmaid and Kitchen Dragonmaid as materials, Fusion Summon House Dragonmaid. |
| Card(s) Needed on Hand | |
|---|---|
| Step | Description |
| 1 | Normal Summon Chamber Dragonmaid, and activate its effect; add Dragonmaid Hospitality to the hand. Afterwards, use this monster as material to Link Summon Striker Dragon into the Extra Monster Zone. |
| 2 | Activate Dragonmaid Hospitality; Special Summon the Chamber Dragonmaid you just used as material, then send Dragonmaid Cehmbra from the Deck to GY. |
| 3 | Banish both Chamber Dragonmaid on the field, and Dragonmaid Cehmbra from the GY; Fusion Summon Lady's Dragonmaid. On summon, activate its effect to Special Summon Parlor Dragonmaid straight from the Deck. |
| 4 | On summon, trigger Parlor Dragonmaid's effect; send a copy of Dragonmaid Tidying from the Deck to GY. |
| 5 | Using Striker Dragon and Parlor Dragonmaid as materials, Link Summon Hieratic Seal of the Heavenly Spheres on the Extra Monster Zone. |
| 6 | Pass the turn to your opponent. Then, during their Standby Phase, trigger Lady Dragonmaid's effect; shuffle back both Dragonmaid Cehmbra and Chamber Dragonmaid from the Banishment, then Fusion Summon Dragonmaid Sheou. |
| 7 | Activate Dragonmaid Sheou's effect while it is still the Standby Phase to Special Summon Parlor Dragonmaid from the GY. Then, use its effect on Summon; send Dragonmaid Cehmbra from Deck to GY. |
| 7 | Activate Dragonmaid Tidying from the GY by banishing itself; Special Summon Dragonmaid Cehmbra from the GY. |

Buster Blader is one of the best Decks to run against any Deck that makes heavy use of Dragon-type monsters. Buster Blader, The Dragon Destroyer Swordsman alone gets stronger for every Dragon on the field and in both Graveyards, and forces all Dragons on the field in Defense Position.
They can also make use of Super Polymerization to their own benefit, fusing away monsters you control to make way to summon their boss Buster Blader monster.

Tearlaments, while having been hit in the banlist multiple times over time, has still some viability and can upset Decks if they can manage to conduct their Fusion Summons. A key monster against Dragonmaid is Tearlaments Rulkallos, which can negate an effect that should have conducted a Special Summon.
What makes the Deck dangerous is its flexibility with archetypes that make use of the Graveyard as well. There are Lightsworn, Gem-Knight and Fiendsmith variants running around that make use of Tearlaments as a Deck engine instead.

Yubel Decks just got some of their key cards like Opening of the Spirit Gates and Nightmare Throne at 3 copies once again, allowing them to consistently make use of their resources.
A key point of the Deck's strength is Nightmare Pain, which allows them to crash Yubel monsters onto Dragonmaids to deal damage to the latter's player. Then come the points of interaction, which includes Phantom of Yubel which needs no effect in order to be Special Summoned, and can change the omni-negate effect of Dragonmaid Sheou.

Even with the banlist hits for the Ryzeal cards taking effect on November 7, 2025, Mitsurugi Ryzeal still keeps its position as one of the most powerful Decks in the current meta, and the most powerful variant of a Deck for either archetype.
Between Ame no Murakumo no Mitsurugi's effect to negate, Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi's lingering effect that lowers ATK, and Ryzeal Detonator which destroys cards as a response to card effect activations, if this Deck goes first it may as well be as good as game over.

| Nibiru, the Primal Being | |
|---|---|
|
|
The standard combo involving Chamber Dragonmaid will go beyond 5 summons by the time they get to Lady's Dragonmaid. By the time they end their Main Phase, Nibiru, the Primal Being can wipe out their field to deny them a chance to summon Dragonmaid Sheou. |
| Super Polymerization | |
|
|
Super Polymerization has garnered more value as the meta changed, punishing Decks that make use of only one monster type. Dragonmaids are no exception to this rule, turning their monsters on the field into Fusion material fodder. |
| Lava Golem | |
|
|
One way of not having to deal with Dragonmaid Sheou's omni-negation effect is by removing them from the field without having a chance to activate its effect. This is Lava Golem's job, tributing two of their monsters in order to be summoned on their side of the field. |
| Dimensional Barrier | |
|
|
Expect Dimensional Barrier to show up as an option for Decks that heavily use Trap Cards, like Traptrix or Labrynth. Once they find out that you are running a Dragonmaid Deck, expect them to use this Trap Card and call Fusion Monsters to deny you from Fusion Summoning, nor make use of your Fusion Monsters' effects. |

Awful. The author clearly doesn't understand the cards he's using, much less the deck he's trying to build. Kitchen Dragonmaid doesn't send Tidying to the GY. It doesn't touch spells/traps.

This deck organization is confusing and doesn't seem to add up with Dragonmaid cards. In other words: this sucks Dicks
