The tricky thing with Exodia decks are that you need to either be lucky enough to get all five Exodia Cards in your hand, or at the very least, survive long enough to get all five of them.
Though there are a number of Exodia Decks out there, including one that only has this instant win condition as a secondary strategy this deck seems slower but safer due to Number 59: Crooked Cook.
The key to this deck isn't to win on the first turn, but rather keep your opponent from damaging you, while you keep drawing cards to complete all five Exodia cards. Once you collect all five Exodia pieces in your hand, you instantly win!

What makes the strategy viable revolve around three monsters, with two of them serving as materials to Xyz Summon the other.
The materials needed are Left-Hand Shark and Right-Hand Shark, which go hand-in-hand because of their effects. Ideally, you want to start with Right-Hand Shark first to search out Left-Hand, then you can Special Summon the latter thanks to its own effect having its requirement fulfilled.
Particularly, you need Left-Hand Shark to trigger its effect by being Special Summoned from the GY in order to raise its Level to 4.

You need those two monsters on the field with matching levels in order to Xyz Summon Number 59: Crooked Cook. For this card's effect to be active, this must be the only card you control on your side of the field. The moment another card is placed at any given point, it effectively loses its immunity.
Then come the additional effects thanks to using the Sharks as material. Using those two monsters grant Crooked Cook additional immunities; Right-Hand Shark makes it indestructible in battle, while Left-Hand Shark makes it immune to card destruction effects.

Astral Kuriboh is another monster that makes it easier to get the Level 4 bodies on the field for Crooked Cook. It can reveal a Number Xyz Monster from the Extra Deck to Specail Summon itself from the hand, and have it change its level equal to that of the Xyz Monster's Rank.
It also grants double immunity from battle or the opponent's card destruction effects when it gets used as material for an Xyz Monster. This makes it a nice substitute to have if you get stopped searching for Left-Hand Shark.

The remaining two monsters are here to provide additinonal support incase both Astral Kuriboh and the Sharks get interrupted.
Beautunaful Princess can banish itself upon Summon to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Fish Monster, which is perfect for getting Right-Hand Shark out on the field as soon as possible. Same goes for Buzzsaw Shark, which effectively does the same job except with WATER monsters as its condition for the Special Summoned Level 4 monster from the Deck.
Once you have a near-indestructible Crooked Cook on the field to hide behind, you can now just sit back and keep drawing cards until you have all five Exodia Cards.
Normally, using Right-Hand Shark as material for an Xyz Summon will protect the Xyz Monster from being destroyed by battle but you'll need to use only Water Monsters as Xyz Material. Using it in tandem with Left-Hand Shark will give whatever Xyz Monster summoned using both monsters as material protection from battle as well as card effects.
However, using Astral Kuriboh as material will protect it from battle & card destruction, giving the same effect of using both Sharks together, basically making Crooked Cook pretty much invincible as long as it's the only card on your field.
So, if you have any other card on your field, use Number 59: Crooked Cook's ability to destroy all the cards you control aside from this one.

It is a lose-lose for Crooked Cook they face off against Kashtira, regardless of who goes first in the Duel.
If this Exodia Deck goes first, all it needs to remove it is having Kashtira Fenrir use its effect to banish the Xyz Monster during the Damage Step. If it goes second, the Kashtira player would have free reign to set up their combo of Kashitra Arise-Heart and Kashtira Shangri-Ira.

Already a mention as one of the best monsters against Crooked Cook, a full Kaiju Deck will have constantly no problem dealing with the Xyz Monster. The important thing that makes the Xyz Monster near-impervious is that it has to be the only card on the field.
With Kaijus, not only do they have to deal with the Xyz Monster getting tributed away, but the Crooked Cook has to find a way to remove the Kaiju first to restore the Xyz Monster's immunity to battle and card destruction.

Maliss, one of the strongest Decks in Master Duel, can easily deal with Crooked Cook with their various banishing effects. Maliss〈Q〉Hearts Crypter and Maliss〈C〉MTP-07 would easily get to remove Crooked Cook, and both banishing effects do not even target either.

Easily the best Deck that can abuse the Crooked Cook strategy, Tenpai Dragon will simply crash their monsters onto it and force it to Attack Position using Sangenpai Transcendent Dragion.
All it takes is a single Chundra, Sangen Kaimen or Sangen Summoning to be full combo with this hyperoffensive Deck.

Hi Max, Though Lava Golem would indeed be a good choice for its effect, the main goal for this Deck Guide is to help provide a safe and consistent way of winning via collecting all five Exodia, the Forbidden One cards in your hand to obtain its win effect.

I see what you mean but from what I know, lava can do everything kaugus can but also makes the owner take damage. With cards like pot of prosperity having the potential to leave an exodia piece on the bottom, an alt win con would be incredibly useful. Though I do guess that then this deck would have less to do with exodia and more to do with just wining
