A Labrynth Deck focuses on using Normal Trap Cards to maintain control over the field, so much so that more than half of the Deck Recipe is comprised of Trap Cards. The Deck thrives in being able to disrupt the opponent, specifically by removing monster cards from the field, regardless of where it goes afterwards.
The main Boss Monster for this Deck Recipe is the ace monster of the archetype, Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle. The Deck and the archetype in general is built around this card and its ability to retrieve Normal Trap Cards from the GY and Set them on the field, ready to be used.
With the release of the Dreaded Conspiracy Selection Pack, Lady Labrynth of the Silver Castle is the Deck's second ace monster. This monster gains immunity from targeted effects if you have Set cards, can Set Traps directly from your Deck, and can Special Summon itself if you activate a Set Trap.
The rest of the monsters in the archetype help out with the Deck's playstyle, each one providing some form of resource management and card advantage against the opponent. For example, Ariane and Arianna the Labrynth Servants can summon each other through their respective effects, and can Set a Spell/Trap as a secondary effect if a monster leaves the field.
Both Labrynth Chandraglier and Labrynth Storbie Torbie can Set a Spell/Trap from the Deck by discarding itself from the hand as a Quick Effect, but their secondary effects provide advantages. Chandraglier can be added back to the hand, and Storbie Torbie can be Special Summoned to the Field.
The second key card for this Deck would be the signature Field Spell, Labrynth Labyrinth. Activating a Set copy of Welcome Labrynth provides an additional effect of being able to destroy a card on the field. On top of that, if a non-Labrynth Trap Card is activated, this can Special Summon a Fiend-type monster from the hand or Graveyard-- perfect to bring out Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle with ease.
As for the Trap Cards, Archfiend's Ghastly Glitch and Dogmatika Puinishment provide more ways remove cards from the field to help trigger the second effect of Labrynth Labyrinth, either by destroying or bouncing monster cards. Dimensional Barrier, on the other hand, provides control to deal with peskier Decks that rely on the Extra Deck, especially if the Extra Deck focuses more on one type of summon between Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Pendulum monsters.
Extra Deck options are pretty flexible in terms of Rank 4 Xyz and Link Monsters, but try to go with monsters that provide control over the field, complementing the Deck's overall strength. Going into Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder provides one of the easiest ways to clear the entire field without even destroying cards.
For Link Monsters, Muckraker from the Underworld provides as many number of negates as the number of materials used to Link Summon it. Meanwhile, Underworld Goddess of the Closed World can get rid of one of the opponent's monsters by using them as Link Materials, which serves well against Stall Decks.
Compared to other combo-heavy Decks, Labrynth is slower as it needs its Trap Cards to begin its control over the game state and the field. Their combos are shorter and more precise, as it needs Trap Cards to be able to take advantage. This small combo is a perfect set-up for every other Trap Card the Deck has to offer, provided the cards are already at hand.
| Example Key Cards on Hand | |
|---|---|
| Step | Description |
| 1 | The moment the opponent declares End Phase, activate the effect of Labrynth Stovie Torbie; discard it, then Set a copy of Welcome Labrynth directly onto the field. |
| 2 | On your Main Phase, activate Labrynth Labyrinth as a Field Spell. Afterwards, activate the set copy of Welcome Labrynth, to Special Summon Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle from the Deck. |
| 3 | Upon Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle being Special Summoned, this triggers the additional effect of Labrynth Labyrinth, and destroy 1 card on the field. |
| 4 | Set Dimensional Barrier, then pass turn to the opponent. |
| 5 | Depending on the opponent's move and Deck, activate Dimensional Barrier during the opponent's turn, locking them out of their Extra Deck should you choose between Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Link. |
| 6 | If there is at least one Fiend-type monsters on hand or in the Graveyard at this point, activate the second effect of Labrynth Labyrinth, and Special Summon it to the field. |
At Turn 1, this combo might not do much because of a lack of set-up, but as the Duel progresses, the more resources (Trap Cards, to be more accurate) become available on hand or in the Graveyard, more options become available. Remember to keep note of what Trap Cards are in the GY for you to recycle--prioritize control like Dimennsional Barrier, Compulsory Evacuation Device and Archfiend's Ghastly Glitch.
Against Decks heavy on Spells or Traps like Runicks, prioritize Eradicator Epidemic Virus instead for three turns of not dealing with those cards.

As of writing, the only Deck that's more controlling than a Labrynth Deck is a Runick Deck. Their ability to mill out the Deck by banishing cards from there is dangerous against Labrynths, who are a little slower on set-up. Be ready to have something to deal with Runick Fountain as soon as possible, to stop the onslaught of Quick-Play Spells being brought back to the Deck for a future draw.

As both are very Trap Card-heavy Decks, Eldlich and Labrynth Decks fighting one another will most likely rely on how each player structures their Deck to accomodate strengths and weaknesses. On a good day, Eldlich can keep denying and destroying backrow cards while having a powered-up Eldlich and Skill Drain active to deal with Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle.

Be careful when fighting against Decks that utilize the Branded Fusion Engine, whether it's pure Branded Despia or other Decks that use the Engine as a boost. Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle is a DARK Monster, which can be used as fusion material fodder through Fallen of Albaz.

If there's any archetype that knows how to lock down a Graveyard from being used as a resource pool, it's the Gravekeepers. Their singature Field Spell Necrovalley makes sure that no cards are moved out of the Graveyard, and will remain there so long as the Field Spell is face-up and active.

This deck is actually garbage. You're more likely to draw bricks than anything meaningful. The fact that there aren't 3 ariannas is astounding considering how important she is as a starter. This deck will not perform consistently if built like this
