What is Gear?

Equipment that Provides Stats

Gear is equipment you can wear to increase your character's stats and change your appearance. You can further increase the stats they provide by upgrading them or adding a unique Trait using the Loom in your Room of Requirement.

Gear Appearance Can Be Customized

You are not limited to just upgrading gear - you can also customize it to change how it looks in Hogwarts Legacy. You can change the appearance of gear on the Gear settings.

How to Unlock Gear

Unlocked Through Identification Station

When you find new gear, you won't know its name or stats right away. You first need to put it on the Identification Station inside your Room of Requirement to reveal its name and stats.

Identification Station is one of the first thing you can conjure early in the game, meaning you won't encounter any problems unlocking any gear as you progress.
