How to Unlock Brooms

Finish the Flying Class Quest to Unlock

You can get access to Broom mounts once you finish the Flying Class quest as part of the main story. Completing this quest will unlock the Flight Test side quest.

This prompts you to head to Spintwitches Sporting Needs in Hogsmeade. There, you will be able to purchase your first Broom from several options.

How to Upgrade Brooms

Upgrade Through Broom Trial Quests

After unlocking the broom, you'll also receive the Flight Test side quest, which will give you chances to help Albie Weekes in working on ways to improve your broom and unlock upgrades.

To complete these side quests, you must race against timed trials set up by Imelda Reyes. Beating her high score will unlock the next Broom upgrade.

With 13 total Brooms to choose from, it can be hard to settle on the best purchase. Do note, however, that differences between Brooms are purely cosmetic. All Brooms control and function in the exact same way, no matter their price or description.

The only way to improve your Broom's handling and speed is by purchasing upgrades in Spintwitches Sporting Needs in Hogsmeade.
