You can disarm an Ashwinder as they prepare their lightning spell by casting Expelliarmus while they are waving their wands. Read on to learn more about how to disarm an Ashwinder to complete Dueling Feats challenges in Hogwarts Legacy!

How to Disarm an Ashwinder Before Lightning Spell

Cast Expelliarmus While They are Preparing the Spell

Disarming an Ashwinder Executioner as they prepare their lightning spell.

To complete this challenge, wait for an Ashwinder to wave their wand with a white light that comes out of it. This indicates that they are preparing their lightning spell. Cast Expelliarmus right away to disarm them.

Enemies usually call out the spell that they will use before casting it, but since the lightning spell doesn't have a name, this is an indicator to watch out for.

Aim at the Right Enemy

Make sure you are aiming at the right enemy to get that check mark on your Dueling Feats, since the prompts sometimes require you to do this challenge with specific variations of targets, such as to disarm an Ashwinder Executioner or Ashwinder Assassin.

Successfully completing this challenge will help you complete Dueling Feats, which not only grants you XP, but also helps you 100% the game.
