| Description | Nora Treadwell and I defeated some Ashwinders who were looking for me near Lower Hogsfield. Afterwards, she showed me her research on something called the Merlin Trials and I was able to help her solve one of the puzzles. |

| 1 | Help the Stranger Go to towards the quest marker and you'll find an old woman being harassed by thieves. |
| 2 | Defeat the Thieves |
| 3 | Speak with the Stranger After defeating the thieves, talk to Nora Treadwell. |
| 4 | Get the Mallowsweet From the Trunk Collect Mallowsweet Leaves from the trunk or chest near Nora's tent. |
| 5 | Solve Merlin's Trial ▶ How to Solve This Trial |
| 6 | Speak to Nora Treadwell Go back to Nora and talk to her. This will complete the quest. |
Place the Mallowsweet Leaves on the stone swirl on the ground by pressing X and notice the vines on the pillars near you have disappeared.
Cast Incendio at the top of the three pillars and this should finish the trial.
