The Ending

During The Final Repository, you will have a choice to make when it comes to the repository. This choice determines which of the two major endings you will see in Hogwarts Legacy!

Should You Keep the Repository Contained or Open it?

Turn In Sebastian or Not

Of the companions, Sebatian in particular has a big choice that you'll have to make near the end of his story, in the In the Shadow of Fate side quest. This will determine whether or not you will see him at the end of the game and whether you can still opt to learn curses! So be sure to choose wisely.

Should You Turn In Sebastian?

Learning Unforgivable Curses

During the Relationship side quests In the Shadow of the Study, In the Shadow of Time, and In the Shadow of the Relic, you'll have the option to learn the Unforgivable Curse spells Crucio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra, respectively.

You are given the choice to choose between dialogue options: I want to learn. and I don't want to learn.

How to Get All Unforgivable Curses

You Get A Second Chance

If you happen to have chosen wrong the first time, there is a chance to learn Unforgivable Curses later on, but you can only do so if you choose not to turn Sebastian in.

Bring Natty or Sebastian to Hogsmeade

Some quests will require you to make choices that affect who joins you, such as your first trip to Hogsmeade.

The quest will play out the same, but the character who joins you and their dialogue will be different!

Quests With Option for Payment

Need a little side hustle? There are a few instances where you can ask fellow students for money in exchange for helping them out. Choose to do so and you can get quite a sum of money for it!

Outside of different dialogue, it doesn't matter whether you get the Fwooper feather and give it to Garreth or not. Garreth will brew fireworks either way.

Telling Natty the Truth

It doesn't affect your relationship with Natty whether you tell her the truth or lie, as she'll believe you either way then change the topic.

Telling Sebastian the Truth

Telling Sebastian the truth or giving a vague answer doesn't affect the outcome of In the Shadow of the Undercroft. The conversation is extended if you tell Sebastian the truth.

Who Uses Crucio

While the decision to learn Crucio during In the Shadow of the Study does matter, the choice of who uses Crucio to open the door doesn't really affect anything in the long term.

Whoever casts Crucio decreases the health of the other, but this is only a temporary effect.

Taking the Relic

Whether you personally agree to take the relic at the end of In the Shadow of Time or not doesn't matter. Sebastian will go ahead and take the relic anyway.

Kneeling or Attacking the Graphorn

Graphorn Kneel

Graphorn Attack

Whether you kneel or attack the Graphorn boss at the end of its fight doesn't matter. You will get a different cutscene, but it will always result in you getting the Graphorn mount.

Should You Kneel or Attack the Graphorn?

Freeing Penny

You can tell Penny that you're freeing her at the end of Minding Your Own Business, but it doesn't matter. She will run your shop either way.
