Trait Explanation
Herbology III ・Increases the damage of all plants.
・Best used for a playstyle that focuses on using plants in combat.
Material required: Kneazle Fur x1
Concentration III ・Increases the damage of all Damage spells.
・Best used for players that use Expelliarmus or when dealing with enemies that are weak to Incendio and Confringo such as spiders and Inferi.
Material required: Kneazle Fur x1
Control III ・Increases the damage of Ancient Magic Throw.
・Excellent for greatly reducing an enemy's health or for breaking shields.
Material required: Kneazle Fur x1
Unforgivable III ・Increases the damage dealt to cursed targets.
・Best used for a playstyle using Unforgivable Curses and has talent points in Dark Arts.
Material required: Kneazle Fur x1
Binding III ・Increases the damage of Petrificus Totalus.
・Best used for a stealth-based playstyle, especially those who have the Petrificus Totalus Mastery talent unlocked.
・Stacking multiple Binding traits lets you defeat most Infamous Foes in one hit.

Laceration III ・Increases the damage of Diffindo.
・Best used if you have Diffindo Mastery talent unlocked
・Combine with Concentration III to stack the trait's effect and boost the damage further.

Trait Explanation
Protego Shielding III ・Decreases the damage taken from Dark wizards.
・Best used when fighting against regular Dark wizards and Infamous Foes.
Material required: Kneazle Fur x1
Anti-Venom III ・Decreases the damage taken from spiders.
・You will encounter various spiders in small spaces as part of the main story quest, so it is best to equip this trait when going inside dungeons and tombs.
Material required: Kneazle Fur x1
Goblin-Silver Resistance III ・Decreases the damage taken from goblins.
・Most of the enemies you encounter in main story quests are goblins, so it is recommended to equip this trait to reduce damage.
Material required: Kneazle Fur x1

Collect Beast Materials to Add Traits to Gear

In order to add traits to your gear, you need to gather beast materals. You can obtain beast materials from the beasts you have in your vivarium.

Use the Beast Petting Brush and Beast Feed to obtain the materials from them.

Match Traits to the Spells You Use

When choosing an offense trait, it is recommended to use the one that increases the damage of the spells you use. For example, if you frequently use Incendio equip the Concentration trait as it increases the damage of that type of spell.

Similarly, equip traits to reduce damage from enemies that you find difficult to defeat. If you have trouble defeating spiders, it is best to apply an Anti-Venom trait to decrease the damage taken from them.
