How to Bury a Spider's Head Into the Ground

Cast Descendo When it Pulls Back its Head

To successfully complete this challenge, wait for the spider to pull back its head as it prepares to attack you. Quickly cast Descendo to slam its head into the ground.

Be aware that the spider can charge its attack really fast, and it's easy to miss the opening to cast Descendo. In this case, you can cast Arresto Momentum or Glacius when it charges its attack to freeze the spider and grant you a larger opening to cast Descendo.

Cast Descendo When It's Stomping Its Feet

Another alternative if the spider is too fast is to cast Descendo on the final second when the spider stomps its feet, since it has a longer animation and bigger opening for you to attack.

Being able to successfully complete this challenge during battle will help you complete Dueling Feats challenges, which not only grants you XP, but also helps you 100% the game.
