Professor Hecat's Assignment 2 is unlocked after completing any of the previous House-exclusive quests, and is required to progress Jackdaw's Rest.

| 1 | Successfully avoid enemy attacks by dodge rolling (10 times) and cast Incendio on enemies (5 times) ▶ Where to find enemies |
| 2 | Attend Defence Against the Dark Arts Class during the day If you finished the previous objectives during the night, you can advance time by opening the map and pressing R3.Afterwards, head to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom to formally start the quest. ▶ How to Skip Time |
| 3 | Return to Professor Hecat You will learn learn how to cast Expelliarmus and complete the quest afterwards. |
1. Where to Find Enemies for the Assignment
Tracking the quest through the Field Guide won't point you anywhere as these can be done with any enemy. Best places to encounter enemies at this point would be to head south of Lower Hogsfield (on the way to Keenbridge) and within the Forbidden Forest.
Easily Doable Within Crossed Wands Round 3
You can also complete the assignment by doing side quests where fighting is involved, most notably Crossed Wands Round 3, where you're just sparring against other students.
